I've no idea of their sportscar history but any of the real old-school makes such as Delage, Delahaye, Hotchkiss, Hispano-Suiza, Panhard, Isotta-Fraschini, Bristol (am I alone in thinking the Fighter is THE missing GT car of the age?); obviously Lancia, Osella, Alfa too

but what I'd really like is a Group 5 (the last sort) tribute/revival... basically keep the glass, the lights, the axles and the hinges in the same place, otherwise a free-for-all! (max width 2.5m??!!)

If the passenger car costs a cool $1,000,000 what would a race-car cost? Ouch! Nice car though. 1001 HP W-16 motor. I'll bet that thing could really haul down Mulsanne.

LMP1:
Porsche, Ferrari - both supplying 'customer' cars only
Mirage, Nimrod, BRM - 'team' cars

LMP2:
Chevron, March, Osella - 'customer' cars. But thinking out loud, aren't companies like Radical, Juno, Ligier, Norma, etc. the spiritual successors of these?

A few years ago I opined (regularly!) that the best thing for sportscar racing would be a something like the old 1970's 2-litre cars: Not horrendous to buy/maintain, loads of opportunity to race and thus within the reach - financially and sensibly - of many people.
