In answer to Greg, it's no different to permitting teams to rebuild a car that is damaged during qualifying; parc ferme rules still apply. So this means that the FIA's technical observer who is responsible for monitoring that car notes what is and what isn't done to the car during that time. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring that the team only work on the car in the permitted hours, unless the team are granted an extension to their time limit.

Initially an uneventful start, as Lewis tried to squeeze Kimi but Kimi had the advantage and line going into Turn 1 and takes the lead.
There was an incident further down the field, involving a McLaren, I think but nothing untoward, so far. Edit: Alonso got hit by Stroll and has retired. |

Congrats to Kimi, on his first win since 2013 with Lotus.
Well it's not all over bar the shouting for Lewis, so looks like he'll have to wait until Mexico. |

Good end of the race.
Great for Kimi to win in his last season at Ferrari. Strong race from Verstappen. |

To be fair I think Hamilton gave him ample racing room given Max’s recent past and the fact Hamilton had a lot to lose by crashing. Still max is driver of the day for me and Vettel once again proves why he isn’t worthy of the championship this year

Another case of poor strategy from Mercedes? Could have bought Hamilton in when he was 18/19 seconds ahead?
