The McLaren Mp4-27 is still the real beauty IMO... |

So that's 5 cars launched and 4 with ugly noses. What's the betting that McLaren will have a more radical looking car complete with an ugly nose when we get to Melbourne?

Also its not to say that Mclaren just didnt want to reveal their new nose until the test.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see McLaren turn up at the first test and back-to-back the current nose against a 'platypus' version...

I'm not sure what the fuss about the noses is all about.
The massive high jaggy noses we've had since Red Bull's 2009 car were fecking dire. F1 cars do look fantastic from the rear these days though. |

You'll notice that the bodywork where the drivers feet are slopes downwards on the McLaren, whereas on the other cars it is pretty much horizontal and at the same height as the front of the cockpit.. Last edited by Marbot; 5 Feb 2012 at 17:30. |

I don't it's a case that any of the teams are wrong as such I think it's more a case that McLaren have decided that their solution to slope the nose rather than the use of a step down will provide them with a very similar result..

Well it will be interesting to see how Adrian Newey and his team have solved this issue won't it...
I think we are all in for a VERY big surprise... |

They will not make the 'bump' nose. Their nose last year was already lower than this year's regulations. The whole front end was lower. They use a different philosophy, why is this hard to understand?
