Even better though time consuming is to erase the underneath bits altogether.

Figur of eight designs are usually not my favourite ones (dunno why, i just don't like them), but this one looks very good to me. You've got speed here, you've got technical parts here, there are overtaking spots - everything you need for a good track.
Thumbs up on this one. bio |

WOW that's an interesting track, great effort on elevation changes and tunnel, you're surely a great artist and your graphics are among the best thought out. The concept of the tunnel and the eight I do like, I have some doubts about the pit exit though,it looks like there could be an accident if someone slides out of the course in that very fast corner can clip someone exiting, I'm not sure but what would change is, I'd make the pit exit straight rather than angled, that will clear out any issues IMHO, and not mess with the design.

An excellent track as always.
NB: Looks like a less extreme version of a track SBF posted in the pre SketchUp days, if I'm honest. If this makes no sense, I'm going to find a pic later. Good job in any case |

I do see something there. Maybe this is the 'Scot' style of track

I agree this track somehow reminds me of an SBF tracks, not any one in particular, just the concept and alternate tracks.

I like it and in fact I have a similar one in my vault somewhere, so I agree very much with your circuit. I'd like to see the middle section resolved a little roomier, I see it's kind of tight in there with people running back and forth in a small space, that would be the only thing I'd constructively criticize.

In fact, I quite like that buzz there. No runoff issues, but a lot of atmosphere - quite a sight for the spectators

Fantastic stuff mate. At a glance reminds me of Paul Ricard, but as you go through it, it feels like a Japanese style track.
Works absolutely fine without the elevation, and you got some good options there. Selby |

Yeah, Paul ricard came to my mind - plus maybe the round-the-lake version Buenos Aires.
Good one anyways bio |

A big thumbs up from me! You won't get bored quikly on this track. It has it all. I foresee great slipstream-duells on the straight. Turns 2-3 are a blast. The next section reminds me of Assen, and that is good. I see some interesting complex cornershapes in the last section as well. To put another feather in your behind, I think the spectators are given some great places to watch the races. Great job!

By all accounts this is a FANTASTIC track for spectators, and there are one or two good overtaking spots for racers. couple of concerns with the runoff.
the first of these is the LRL opposite the long curve behind the paddock (T10 - T12 by my count), as I feel the sections are too close together. the others is the runoff at T1 before the hairpin, and the turn 3 sweeper mentioned in the previous case. Given the speeds they're doing, some runoff would be useful. Oterhwise, good effort. |

The last corner can be literally the last corner for someone, in the track or in the public.

I agree with Tathrim: superb! I love when a track features a little bit of everything - this one does: long straights, fast, mid-speed and tight corners, chicanes - you name it. The gravel traps are well placed and sized. The length of roughly 5 km also seems to be ideal.
Yep, the last two corners have a little problem - the stands have been put on the gravel trap - but that can be dealt with easily. All in all, both thumbs up! bio |
