It's now official. The Oreca Audi will take part to the whole LMES season. Ortelli and Gounon at the wheel. Montagny may join them at Spa. Not sure yet...

Why Montagny "just" for Spa . Contractural commitments or what ? Possibly another driver for the other LMES races ?
Good news indeed ..... now we need that Spanish Audi to do the same . Whatever happened to that Courage C60 that some Spanish team was going to enter last year with a Chevy V8 in the back ? Last edited by The Badger; 15 Mar 2005 at 16:54. |

* Ortelli, Gounon and Montagny for Le Mans. * Ortelli, Gounon and maybe Montagny for Spa. * Ortelli and Gounon for other LMES races. |

They certainly don't need a three driver squad for the LMES. Two drivers works nicely.

I understand that part of it. I'm just saying that they don't "need" three drivers for the LMES schedule.

An LMES entry is great news and I am sure the likes of Creation and Zytek will be very pleased to see an R8 in the series full time.

You bet they do JAG. It legitimizes the competition and makes a potential victory much sweeter.

An interview of a very arrogant and displeasant Montagny on Jérôme Mugnier's Virages, where he seems to think that the hybrids will be toasted after 6 hours, and that the Audi will achieve 3 laps more than the others per stint... (F1 does nothing good to young pilots, methink)...
There's a rumour putting him behid the wheel of a Jordan for the french GP ; that could lead to a Gounon/Ortelli/Tinseau line-up instead... |
