Scott Sharp is really quick. I don't think you can compare hi to Seth Neiman. Sure he has his moments but you can't forget drives like he had at Long Beach putting the move on the Corvette. And Mosport a few years back in the Acura P2 putting that daring pass into t17 in the early laps to take back the position from Rossiter i believe.

The Falken Porsche looks great, any other way to enter that contest without using Twitter? I'm not really big into Twitter. Looking forward to Limerock this weekend and Mosport (in person) next weekend.

Well that sounds a little familiar. Level 5 has legal troubles, who knows what could happen to Dempsey because of Lola, most of the Grand Am teams ticked off are in GT like Kevin Buckler and Mike Johnson over the Ferrari, now that GA give the Riley Ford package some help (lots of extra RPM). Also, if Michael Shank were to come to ALMS, why not LMPC? More cars and cheaper than both DP and LMP2. As for LMP1, what will Dyson be doing? If Lola remains as it is can they really do the full series another year, and what happens if they have a major crash? |

Also, when LMPC came out the goal was to have running costs of about a million dollars, seems like there's been quite a bit of budget creep going on there. |

Even though I strongly prefer ALMS over GA as a series; I I was running a moderately healthy business with the intention of succeeding, DP would certainly be the more sensible option...
a) You'll be running in the top class of the series b) In case you or your machinery happens to suck, there's a higher chance of receiving BoP breaks c) You have moar competition d) Cheaper (if we are to trust mr Braun) e) Better TV explosure Obvously no ticket for LM with DP, but running P2 in ALMS wouldn't necessarily guarantee that anyways Last edited by Deleted; 4 Jul 2012 at 12:34. |

Wow, for only two days the weekend ticket price for Lime Rock is $88 advanced and $115 at the gate. This consists of only one race, some practice and qualifying sessions and a couple of faux-can am cars parading around the track with no IMSA GT3 and Lites like years past.
At Mid Ohio, you pay $110 for reserved grandstand seat with the ability to move around the GA areas and a paddock pass for three days of racing which includes an Indycar race, ALMS race, two Pirelli World Challenge races, two USF2000 races and two F1000 races. For the Watkins Glen Sprint Cup weekend you can get a reserved grandstand ticket in turn 1 which views the pits, pitstraight, turn 1 and the esses for a weekend which features Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Grand Am for $105. Are Lime Rock Park ticket prices typically as expensive as they are for this race weekend? |

That is disturbing that this event is more expensive than going for most of the week to Petit. And with no support events why would you go for more than just Saturday for the day and save 20 bucks?

Yeah; I don't understand the pricing at all. There's only a $5 discount for the weekend pass over buying each day separately, so I'm heading to the track on Friday (you get 45 more minutes of on-track action for half the price), and may or may not return on Saturday, depending on how much I enjoy the track. It'll be my first time at LRP!

iirc, the LMP2s cost more up-front but the spare parts are cheaper than DPs

Well thats not out of necessity though. When you have the kind of money tucker has, legitmate or illegitamate. And when your car is being sponsored by a Carlos Slim corporation money is not significant. that doesnt represent a base DP or P2 effort thought.

URC no longer appears on the track's schedule. So there is no on track action Saturday between ALMS morning warm up, which ends at 10:30, and the race which doesn't start until after 3:00. The pricing is completely unacceptable.
