One pleasant surprise so far is the speed of Foyt IV - not too far off the others, and I hope it's a sign of an improved Foyt IV for 2004 (compared to the rather appalling 2003 he had to endure).
And Takagi just continues to impress (edit) Posted too soon - Takagi just surpassed 215 mph! Last edited by rustyfan; 28 Jan 2004 at 14:51. |

Looks like Buddy Rice is finally about to get out on track for a serious run.
Other than that, there aren't a lot going on right now. |

Guess there must be en error in the scoring, as Dario just did a 212...

Just noticed Barron has managed to put in a good lap as well, clocking in at 213.183 mph.
Taylor and Rice must've called off their runs quite early, seeing as Taylor is stuck at 206 mph while Rice managed no better than 166 mph (most likely a short run to get a feel for the car perhaps). I hope Matsuura goes out again soon - he's so close to breaking the 200 mph barrier. Then again, I can understand if he wants to take it a bit cautious in the beginning, seeing as these are speeds he wasn't close to when racing Renault V6 Ah, and Franchitti is finally setting some respectable speeds as well. |

Regarding the yellow, according to the timed scoring commentary someone's being towed in after having stalled out on track.
Good to hear it wasn't an accident that caused it Last edited by rustyfan; 28 Jan 2004 at 15:25. |

No idea - it just said "yellow for tow-in". Now it says "3 minutes until green".
Can't wait to get home from work (which will be in about 90 minutes) so I can listen to the radio feed (if it's still available online that is). |

Green flag. Dixon has been added driving 1T so I guess it was him that stalled.

Buddy Rice and Robbie Buhl (have to cheer a little extra on Robbie this year now that I know he visits this forum sometimes ) are now doing fast laps agin, and Buhl just cracked the 200 mph barrier.

Looks like theres isnt a live radio feed after all. There's a show tonight though, but I guess it'll be in the wee hours of the morning.

I have to say it's depressing to see the Rahal car so far down the order. Hopefully they haven't done a really serious run yet and are still tweaking the settings to Rice's liking.
