Free Practice currently ongoing. RLM on the air. Interesting session so far, Lotterer just went quickest. Top 3 withinn 4 tenths.

Haven't had the chance to tune into RLM today (typical lame infrastructure, no access to internet wired or wirelessy in labs...), how's the stream going? MWM was cancelled last night because they couldn't get access to an ISDN line!

Hang on, did a driver announcement just fly underneath the radar? According to Graham Goodwin on Twitter, Nic Minassian is driving for Pecom this weekend... sportscar racing now has its Super-Sub.

Not sure how they resolved it, as I haven't been able to check twitter at work or listen all day but stream has been clear since I've be listening. They set up a mic outside the studio so you can hear the cars running in the background. Not too shabby overall.

They said at the beginning of the broadcast they cobbeled something together using traditional phone lines or something.

So Toyota may've been slightly slower because Nico Lapierre was in the car, and he has to learn the track. So 6 tenths back isn't bad for his first time driving there!

I'm pretty sure most of the Audi guys have to learn the track as well, aside from McNish.

If you haven't driven F1, chances are that you have never been to Interlagos.

Only guys I know of that have been there were McNish and DiGrassi. The other Audi drivers to the best of my knowlege haven't been to Interlagos, and only Nakajima has been there for Toyota, though he isn't entered for the race.

Wurz the first man into the 1:23's in the Toyota. Good to see. More reports of a bit of smoke out of the back on RLM. Third race in a row if it's all the same issue.

I would think the car is set up rather too aggressively and it's bottoming out badly over serious bumps. Jabroc planks rubbing on tarmac at that speed make quite a bit of smoke.

I've never seen the smoke that's been mentioned. Is it coming from under the car, or over the rear deck. If under the car, then the Toyota is set up with a very low ride height and is grinding either the skid block or the wood, steel, or rubber rub pads on the front diffuser.

If it's coming over the TE of the rear deck, it could be engine smoke.

Strange that you say that it's rained there, as the FIA's T&S shows partly cloudy skies on their display, but then again, their T&S has had some of the same problems that the ALMS' has had...

Interesting the Labre Corvette is 2nd in GTE- they're listed as PRO but I thought they're AM? And now Wurz does a 23.8!
