That rubbish Mecachrome sounded great (for a turbo V6) in the back of the Ginetta. I hope that isn't an aspect they have 'improved'.

At least the engine base power stands up. 675hp, not too bad. When adding in the hybrid systems, it should be competitive. Now, its just getting it on track and see what initial runs show before they put it through its paces.

Yes, the Lambo seemed badly damaged. Alpine shoud have a 24 h test at Portim?o mid-November.

I like the rear of the Alpine, it looks aggressive but also quite elegant with the curved sections behind the rear wheels.

Yeah, the front is atrocious in this carbon black, they made no effort in the front lights signature, but the rear and flanks are quite good. Let's see how it works in king blue later on.

The moke up and old drawings looked much better. Will obviously be blue with a touch of red and the big arrow in white. It seems they paid attention to the wheels which could be appreciated only when in motion.

There is something about this programme that is making me optimistic - seem to be running really well and on schedule with development
Having a well developed team with years of experience at the top level of endurance , using a chasis that already has 1 year development and a good working relationship with ORECA, the Bosch hybrid being a well known quantity by now and using an engine which already has prototype mileage is helping them hit the ground running as it looks |

Great footage, thanks Mike E. I just wonder why they made long focuses on the rims. They are different from the first presentation ones. Anyway, it works. 1500 km with no major issues is a good sign of reliability and having both Lapierre and Vaxivière at wheel helps the understanding (french language…).

Sounds as should, like a french cow! Theorically, the exhaust system must not interfer with the aero. Practically, the are differences between, for example, Ferrari and Isotta Fraschini. To my knowledge, when a WEC car is windtunneled the engine is of ( F1:https://www.tiktok.com/@pitstopnic/v...98717058370848). The devil is in the details (exhaust,rims…).

I saw that video the other day, great footage. The car seems to go well. The sound isn't as bad as some of the other turbo cars.
