This could be the best Daytona for non-good ol' boys ever.
Allmendinger, Andretti, Montoya, Hornish, Speed, Ambrose, Stewart, Gordon, Papis & Said filling out the top 10 come Sunday would have me pishing myself. |

First caution - #49 Gilliland goes around after a tap from Logano in turn 4.
Edit - Is the audio messed up for anyone else? Edit #2 - Nevermind, seems it was just on that particular Justin-channel. |

Looking good for Waltrip & Bliss - if Labonte & Speed are the 2 top duellers then Waltrip & Bliss get the nod, Bliss is currently 3rd dueller in any event.
Time for some NOISE - I wish other series would turn it up more often on their broadcasts. |

Kahne wins the second race by a nose. Bliss and Speed raced their way in, meaning Michael Waltrip gets in on his qualifying speed.

Great finishes to the two duels, can't wait for the 500!
Mad Max and Mikey both in as my choices, glad to see that. |

Damn, I was hoping Both Bliss and Mears got in. Now we get to hear more Waltrip jammed down out throats.

missed just about all of the first except for the last two laps on the radio (MRN coverage made my neck hair stand on end) and most of the #2 because it all it the fan today.
i've got three more races to go this weekend, so it all should work out. say that again, and we have problems. |

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place. |

Based on the Nationwide race today, I think it's going to be a different style of race from what Daytona normally is. The cars are different between the two series but in today's race as the handling of the cars deteriorated over a fuel and tire run, cars had to back off the throttle. In the Twins, the back half of each field was left away from the front pack, but Sunday's field is obviously stronger and they had more practice than the Nationwide guys did. So we'll have to see. This is also dependent on having long green flag runs so...
