I think I need to go ask questions tomorrow...
Ah ha. Marcel ten Caat reckons the Dunlops are last years left overs. It was on track wearing Michelin. Last edited by Tim the Grey; 1 May 2009 at 18:28. Reason: More info received... |

Lovely day at the track - first time I've been here and not been frozen!
I've been dithering on the new reg concepts for GT1 but the new Ford GT blew me away today - what an incredible sound! Looking forward to the rest of the weekend though it's a bit of a shame most of the GT3 field have got pit garages and as such the cars cant be seen by the public. Still, we'll get to see them on track - the GT3 Jag is a good looking beast. |

I've been watching the live stream from www.gt1live.tv this morning, and two things have struck me - One: The GT3s are now as quick if not slightly quicker around Silverstone than the GT2s. Two: The GT2 Aston is flying in Fred Mackowiecki's hands!!

Morgans on the pole for races in GT3. Only the 17 Corvette was as consistent with 9th and 3rd. Audi did good in 1st qualifying and Matech Ford GT in the 2nd but both didn't fair too well in the other sessions.
Looks like the Alpina BMW needs some work. Was surprised that Hurtgen couldn't do better than 21st. Completely different from Practice yesterday. |

In the 1m49s in the second session! Nearly a second faster than anyone else in GT2 and getting amongst the 'new-style GT1' Nissan and Ford GTs. Looks like they're starting to make that car work at last- though according to DSC, that time raised a few eyebrows in the pitlane....Has someone overdone it a bit in terms of performance balancing? |

Anyone having streaming difficulties from gt1live.tv? It seems to have frozen video for me.

Ah, glad it isn't just me then.
Audio is working at least, something to listen to! edit: *speaks quietly* it appears to be working, hopefully it won't hear me and stop again! Thats rubbish, weather was rubbish last year...I should've taken time off to go down this year :[ |

Well, I was hoping and praying a Saleen had pole speed in it, I didn't think it would actually happen, so K plus K have proved even their supporters wrong. The race, as the Richard and Graham insinuated will be another story; fingers crossed for them and the 'Vettes. GT2, Aston in second and extremely close lap times all through the field, I'm excited for tomorrow.

It was a nice race with quite a bit of action. A nice mix of cars that the front. 5 different makes in the top 5. They were saying because of new regulations, which I'm not familiar with, both the Ferraris and Corvettes lost some of their edge, apparently |

Probably equalisation? Same as the Ford GT is surprisingly slow this year...
