That is something you wouldn't expect to see in this series. Nice addition. Let's see how it goes. Still a classic car

Fat Beetles are very Brazilian, but rather unexpected in 2021.

What do you mean by Spyder? I assume it's not based on the Porsche 550 from the late 50s or the LMP2 car.

I guess, this car isn't allowed to compete at Endurance Brasil. This car was made for "open" categories such as various turismo championships of regional grade.

That makes sense. Still that’s the beauty of motorsport in Brazil. Variety of racing formula

While Brazilian and British garagists (as well as Japanese petrol heads) are able to bring such a wonderful machinery on track, there still is a huge amount of sense in racing. You are very lucky to watch these cars racing from the grand stands. For all the outer world it's "clunk, clink, strip your wallet quick" (pronounced with a TV adverts voice). |

Tarso Marques complains about the lack of sponsorship. They had it in the spring during the production of the first prototype. The sponsor refused to cooperate during the pandemic. And now Tarso is looking for a new one, so the debut may be postponed.

That’s just bad luck. A lot of sponsors would have committed, but now the global uncertainty will have seen some pull out. So it’s gonna be hard to find another sponsor. Hopefully Tarso can pull something off

The Tarso Marques car looks from space. My favorite is still the Metalboro car. I am surprised cars based on (older) Stock Car Brasil cars aren't more popular in endurance racing. |

According to the latest publication by Nivelando Engenharia, Leal Race Cars is considering taking part in Endurance Brasil. While the team of Julian Leal is preparing to test its prototype LR01. They are scheduled for mid-March. They also plan to participate in the national championships of Colombia, Ecuador and Chile in such races as the 6 hours of Yahuarcocha and 6 hours of Bogotá.

Now there’s a turn up for the books. Wonder why they’ve chosen this series and not something higher profile? Hopefully they will do well, but I have a lot of faith in Leal

It seems, Pirelli became exclusive tire supplier of the series. There was no "tire wars" early, but there were competition with another brands, such as Yokohama.

If series bosses think they would look more serious as some GT3 Ratel's stuff or WEC idioticy if they follow their route, then they should think twice. |

The start of new season is about to take place at Goiânia on this weekend. In addition to the debut of new equipment: for example , the Giaffone G21-a number of points of the sports and technical regulations have changed:
- As mentioned above, Pirelli is now the exclusive tire supplier - Similar to the FIA system, drivers will compete with gold, silver and bronze status, but based on their performances in the national series - Introduced a penalty for non-compliance with the pit stop window in the form of a drive through or penalty time - The scoring system remains with a progressive scale, but for the last stage, almost twice as many points are awarded as for the previous one The participation of the Tarso Marques TMC 01 prototype still hasn't been officially confirmed. |

I watched the first round - 4 hours of Goiânia-and would like to share my impressions. The race was won by AJR-Chevrolet #175 of Henrique Assunção/Fernando Ohashi/Fernando Fortes. The first round marked the debut of Pirelli as an exclusive tire supplier. In my opinion, the debut failed. By the end of the first hour of the race, a lot of pieces of rubber appeared on the track outside of the racing trajectory. In addition, the AJR #444 had a puncture during the lead, which was one of the reasons why the car lost the victory. One of the Mercedes was punctured twice. But these are still small things: large pieces of rubber got stuck between the plates of the rear wing and could break the DRS.
By the way, the silhouette-prototype of the José David team debuted in the P2 category and was in the lead of the category due to the pace of Alan Hellmeister and Guto Negrão. But half an hour before the finish of the race, there was a problem with constant-velocity joints. |
