The mondeo does in excess of 50mpg on motorway journeys at a steady 70/80mph and does a commendable 38/40 round town which involves journeys of 5 or 6 miles each way.. The Santa Fe does an equally commendable 30mpg round town and while towing the caravan(25ft long and 1.5tons in weight) and solo on the motorway does around 42mpg at 60/70mph so all in all not too bad at all...... |

Never thought of a 205GTi as a chavs car. Great little cars. I add my welcome too, Dodsworth

Doesn't look like a chav car to me at all. Looks like a fairly authentic rally/race replica job. They are absolutely cracking cars too. Is it a 1.9? Seriously quick (and twitchy I should think!) if it is...

hey, cheers for the warm welcome guy's!!!
if i were wanting to build a chav car i would slap massive amounts of fibre glass on it will massive wings e.c.t lol!!! i think the quads make it look chavvy if anything but they are a good way of getting air into her she is a race/rally rep but hopefully next year it will be moving away from the replica side of things!!! done silverstone in it this year which was a bad move as she was flat out for to long!!! she is still a baby 1.6 but im hoping to drop a 1.9 in it over winter along with some other bits!!!! |

I drive a 1998 323se BMW 3 series. (Sales rep's car of choice!)
One thing which has suprised me is how cheap the insurance is. I pay £700 a year fully comp and I live in watford (i am 23). When I was living at my parents (heart of the suffolk countryside) last year I paid less that £650! |

When I was paying £638 last year I was with tesco, and I am now with direct line as tesco wanted £1100 to insure it in watford! I do have full no claims (5 years) tho as I haven't had an accident since I started drving (touch wood!) it took a lot of shopping around to get a quote that good, and when i went to direct line they said they'd better the cheapest quote considerably (bell £875).
I also found that I would get better quotes by staying off websites such as confused and AA (both of these couldn't offer me a quote for for less than £1K) |

I recently bought a newer car myself. Its a 2002 Renault Laguna 1.9DCI Dynamique. 120 BHP (unchipped) and so far MPG seems pretty good, its averaging around 42 round town and 48-50 on the motorway, i do most of my driving in town though so thats pretty good.

no car for me, but a nice full suspension Apoollo Muntain Bike! I raced my dad once, he was in the car, and I was on my bike, I beat him home. About 2.5 km in just over 5 minuetes. Not bad.

A Micra...not the best! Is a 1300 and has good acceleration but after that? Erms, nope. Current plan is to road rally it and get another car next year, maybe a VW of some kind.

Forgot to add, had my car on the Dyno the other week, was fairly impressed with the result, 249 rwhp unfortunately they didn't have the wideband O2 sensor in, so I couldn't see what my AFRs were like :|
