Interested in that wing. I wonder whether it'll end up being a more conventional race wing when it comes to the track, rather than the integrated one in the render.

Anyway I disagree on visuals, it's 'fine' but the P1s looked much better (except for the newer R18 and TS040 which looked horrible) |

Separate question: Do the hypercars not need to have a shark fin for blowover safety? |

Ferrari is the one to which everything is ultimately compensated against, even if they get breaks as well (but who doesn't in bop class)... it started off with 458 - which also was the only car without major special waivers except for the width - and continued with 488. Now I don't think 488 is quite as dominant as 458 on "paper", particularly 458 with yet-non-banned direct injection, but it's still the golden standard
I'd say without bop and waivers they'd go 1) Ferrari 2) Ford 3) Porsche 4) Corvette 5) BMW 6) Aston Last edited by Deleted; 19 Sep 2019 at 13:36. |

Hypercars will run at about 1100kg (which is grotesque, btw), whereas LMP1 is in the mid-800s (varies depending on whether hybrid or not). So hypercars will be 200-250kg heavier than LMP1 and only about 150kg lighter than GTE. Combined with planned lower speeds, they will presumably be less likely to take off as a result. Also, because there is effectively no formula, bodywork dimensions cannot be specified so easily, if at all. So how would you define the dimensions of the fin relative to the bodywork of differently shaped cars? Hey guys, we found a silver lining! No more Big Honking Fins! Maybe. |

Hi
More information will come soon. You never know what Manufacturer will be returning to Le Mans to power our road and race Hypercar. The race version will have a reduced greenhouse as it will be a "2" seater. The road version will be a 3 seater like our 004. We will offer customer Hypercar Race Versions as well as a limited run of road legal examples. Best Jim |

Glickenaus said he was delighted with the arrival of LMDh.
James Glickenhaus hopes to attract private teams to race 007 in a very reasonable price with a very low operating cost and replacement parts. Glickenhaus will exhibit its last road hypercar in the 24 Hours of next June, as well as the model that will have competed in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring a few weeks before. A model of Le Mans's Hypercar future will also be exhibited to the Sarthois public. https://www.endurance-info.com/fr/gl...mans-hypercar/ |

James Glickenhaus is trying to be the new Don Panoz. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

The car didn't throw a lap and is it already for sale?

We've already sold 30 Road versions (Glickenhaus 004S/CS) We stopped taking orders for six months as that is our 2020 productive capacity. We'll open order books again when we show our 004S at Quail this summer. We see demand at over 100 004's per year. We are fully crash testing and emission testing and our vehicles will meet all required FMVSS/EPA/CARB. Our 004C will be on the ground on Saturday and roll out/test on February 17TH. March 1-2 will be a 30 hour test and then we will race VLN 1,2,6HR QR and N24. Tomorrow we will release a 10 minute video on our Glickenhaus Boot that won in class at The Baja 1000 beating the Ford Factory Bronco by 270 miles. We will soon soon have a press release on our Glickenhaus Le Mans Hypercar 007, which is on track and will be powered by an 850 3L TTV6 Glickenhaus Engine that we are developing. (More info in PR) We've hired a lot of top engineers including ones with LMP1 and F1 backgrounds. We are also offering Customer 007's with full race support if desired, Customer track day versions and a very limited run of Special Construction Sunday driver road legal 007 Le Mans Hypercars. |

The Ford Glickenhaus Wars
After The Glickenhaus Boot beat The Ford Factory Bronco by 220 miles at The Baja 1000 The Ford Glickenhaus Wars continue. Ford is going to charge $250K for the clear coated carbon option on their 2020 Ford GT's. It does require more work, that's why we charge $60K for it on our 004. We also offer Tinted Clear Coated Carbon for the same 60K. Our V8 004S will have at least 20 more HP than the 2020 V6 Ford GT and even in tinted CF cost about the same as a painted Ford GT. Our tinted CF 004CS will have about 200 more HP than a cleared CF Ford GT and cost $100K less. Our 004 will have 3 seats v Ford's 2 and unlike The Ford GT our Factory 004C will continue to race indefinitely. Our 004 will also weigh about 700 LBS less than the 2020 Ford GT. Unlike Ford Our Glickenhaus Le Mans Hypercar pictured above, full press release soon, will race in the top class at Le Mans in 2021. Our 2020 productive capacity for 004's is sold out. Our goal is to increase our 2021 004 productive capacity to 100 cars. We are now accepting pre orders for them. |
