Justice was done in the Shedden/Turner clash at least. Shedden seemed to completely misjudge his braking and had to dive inside Darren and there was big contact. Shedden came off worst, although it was a sad end to a good drive for him I must say.

Team Dynamics will have been pleased with Neal's contact with Jackson!

Onslow-Cole was excluded from race 1 for his contact with Fabrizio [I can't spell his surname.....!].

As a complete guess without copying and pasting it from somewhere...

"Giovanardi"?

Anyone know what time the 3rd race starts?

No idea, Cupras have just finished.

I thought his name had two v's but really not sure so much safer to call him by his first name or initials

Just call him Gio, Suze. Saves so much heartache.

I think BTCC is after this FBMW race, so about half an hours time?

3rd race should be at 1520 back over on ITV1. Good work for Taylor and Robertshaw guys for getting a point on their debut. Jordan on pole for race 3 - hopefully he can take a win after being denied it by Giovanardi a fortnight ago.

Interesting to see Harvey captioned as "3 times BTCC champion" during the coverage!

Maybe there's a race between F BMW and BTCC? BMWs have just over two laps left.

I'll call him Gio

The BMW race they showed the end of on ITV4 must have been the race earlier today, there's another one taking place now. Then the 3rd BTCC round.

A much better set of races today, the only rough move was from Tom OC, and he got penalised for it. A shame Jason managed to extend the lead, but the finale should still be close. Turner was fantastic throughout, and Shedden made up for his race 1 mistake really well. Matt Neal must be happy with the results too.

It was generally a good days racing for sure.

And the championship is nice and close heading to Thruxton, where Gio will overhaul Jason's pathetic little hatchback on the fast bits and claim the title.

It's strange how this season, Plato doesn't seem to be getting caught up in the sorts of incidents that Giovanardi is getting caught up in. Plato should not be leading this championship but for once, he seems to be using his head and playing it safe.

Should be a great end to the season, shame we have to wait 6 weeks or so for it.

I assume not. I was under the impression Knockhill was going to be missed by Setanta so it must be Thruxton. I do hope not though as I want to see the Carrera Cup finale!

Who?

Today was great. I liked the Scottish legends races, top class stuff. Slightly surreal as well. Ben Edwards drove well too.

I might just go along to Thruxton, however the last time I went there in 1999 I got massive sunburn. I seem to recall it was the BBC live telecast race.

I have sunburn from Knockhill (or wind burn if you prefer). 3 hrs it took me to get home, thanks to an accident before the Forth Road Bridge !

The racing generally was excellent today, typical touring car style bumping going on but nobody driving into each other, apart from the OC/Gio incident.

I'd agree with one of the earlier posts that Plato seems to be a different driver this year and I like the mentality, it is better to finish than not finish at all. Previously he has been reckless in some races I would say.

Turner has definitely earned his money today, helped close the manufacturers title to 3 pts behind Vauxhall. Whilst on the other hand Chilton seems to be letting VXR down, did he hit the tyres at Clark in Race 3 today, all I saw was his car absolutely demolished depositing water round the track.

Shout out to the Scottish Legends guys, who put on a wee show to the crowd at the end, for which quite a few people stayed at which I was surprised. Pity every car wasn't carrying a sign saying "See us again Knockhill, 16th September", might have got a few extra punters in, eh Mike!

Had an absolute blast out there today, can't get the idiotic grin off my face! The crowd who stayed for the final (far more than expected!) were absolutely brillant and everyone in the field really appreciated their interest, both in the races and in the paddock during the day, hence all the waving from the drivers and donuts on the slowing down lap!

The one and only event I'll ever be asked for autographs I'm sure - a kid even showed up at the legends garage with a chunk of legend debris from the Heat 1 pile-up yesterday and got as many drivers as possible to sign it!

Just magic to be a part of such a huge event.

I put it all onto DVD along with the usual races, definitely one to treasure.
