The 2nd Place #95 McLaren has been DQ'd from qualifying.
"After having checked the Technical Delegate report, the Stewards consider the minimum car weight and the weight distribution did not comply with the relevant regulations. Consequently, the Stewards decided to impose the disqualification of car 95 of the qualifying sessions leading to cancellation of all times. The car 95 will start at the back of the grid." |

Just seen some photos on Facebook of Grello (the NLS/N24 Chassis) being unloaded off a trailer in the paddock.
Would be cool if they kept the Grello livery for this race. |

The electronics seem to be the major difference but based on what teams have said before (specifically, I'm thinking about what CGR said about bringing IMSA Cadillacs to ACO races last year), this basically requires a change of the car's entire wiring loom. Although given there's more space in a GT car than a prototype, maybe that's not quite as time consuming?

Wish they would release how much they were under, and with other violations as well. I'm sure they don't to not show others how much they were cheating but tenths of kilos ok oops, kilos off makes you wonder what else they've done. I would understand more if BoP had changed but they're at the same weight as last round right?

I'm guessing it's not their wiring loom as much as the spec of each makes using the same with adapters or open connectors not viable. Course it could just be each series only allows their loom cause yeah, f the crew and time needed cause you want to run with the competition

Ah, thanks for that. Some reason I thought the Hypercar BoP was stable for weight
And from the team in Racer "“The Ferrari 499P number 50 was found to be around 1 kg under the minimum weight mandated by regulations,” the Ferrari team said in a statement. “After a collision with another car during FP3, the 499P number 50’s damaged rear end had to be replaced with a new component, which led to the weight discrepancy discovered on Friday evening.” Ok, I'll allow that as a whoops rather than a big gap. But still, parts that far apart in construction seems a bit Keystone Ferrari, so that checks out |

The hypercars were 'slow' in qualifying (compared to the improvements they've made elsewhere) because they were forced to use the soft tire from Michelin's compound range. Ideally they would have used the hard. We'll see how the teams do on more suited compounds in the race.

I'm sure it's been reported elsewhere too, but the very good news last night (DSC) was that Malykhin is fit to drive and a replacement chassis was on the way to Spa, the team having enough parts on site to build up a complete car.

Hard to say. We don't know how accurate is Ferrari's statement in the first place. And to remind, same as Caddy that got DSQ'd in Qatar, they're also Dallara's customer

Manthey are only about 150 or so miles away, probably less, so not a hard task.

Okay, welcome everyone. The national anthem will be played shortly, and then the drivers will get in their cars.
