Yeah - the 84 Wang(ker) Jag was the one "Liberache'ed" (thanx Cromley) on the grid by Tesorio in the Forcefield Camaro with the flying mouth Willo adding his mega-buck Supra to the carnage after, as another member of that grid later told me, he jumped the start by an hour.

I like the 2003 Ford Credit car over the CAT car. The Blue and white looks better than the black, grey, and white of the 2004 CAT, IMO
I did not read all the post on this topic, but anyone mention the Playboy BMW? Last edited by sukispeed; 9 Jan 2005 at 05:28. |

I actually liked the 2001 McLean paintjob better
http://www.v8supercar.com.au/v8data/...PHITP_1550.JPG It just seemed to be a very bright white, with very good panel fit... very professional presentation... Last edited by GTRMagic; 9 Jan 2005 at 19:25. Reason: Do do do... concerting IMGs to URLs |

Or Larko's car... here is a very rare pic, with ICS aboard, when things were all rosy...
http://www.v8supercar.com.au/v8data/...PHITP_1302.JPG Or a bit later on, when Karcher took some space, and ICS is still on the car... http://www.v8supercar.com.au/v8data/...PHITP_1570.JPG And a bit later still... when ICS became a distant, yet still painful memory... http://www.v8supercar.com.au/v8data/.../PHITP_184.jpg Last edited by GTRMagic; 9 Jan 2005 at 19:26. Or you can get excited over a Roddlermobile... arguably one of the prettier designs he had....
http://www.v8supercar.com.au/v8data/...S/PHITP_53.jpg Or indeed Dugal McDougall's Pepsimobile... http://www.v8supercar.com.au/v8data/...PHITP_1444.JPG Last edited by GTRMagic; 9 Jan 2005 at 19:27. |

I must admit the Moffat EB looked sensational and the sound gave me a stiffy.

For some reason I have always liked the STP / Re-Car Commodore of Grice.
The Gibbs GIO GTR looked good too. |

I think it goes to show how good the colour scheme was when I say I hate the look of AU Falcons (even in v8 supercar form) but list the Green Eyed Monster as the best looking car to hit the track.
Then again there was always the Day Glo Marlboro Brock Comodore.... Last edited by twinwebbers; 10 Jan 2005 at 10:23. |

Now does the spare JPS BMW M3 from Bathurst 1987, which 'became' the #46 Schnitzer Pirro/Ravaglia car after the original was crashed in practice, therefore count as an Australian Touring Car. The BMW 'stripes' were simple but effective.
As with jd yort, i liked the STP-Roadways Racing Team Commodore's from 1983. A little off topic:- That colourscheme (STP Roadways) was interesting in that the corporate colour of 'STP' Oil Treatment is red, and the dual 'blue and red' only came about originally because the Petty's in NASCAR preferred to keep the 'Petty Blue' on their cars, so a dual livery was arranged. The Petty blue/STP red mix managed to make it's way also onto the Roadways Commodore's, and also the Patrick Racing CART cars at the same time, rather than the corporate 'STP' red only. (though early in the 70s, when Patrick Racing won the 1973 Indy500 with Gordan Johncock, it ran the STP red only). |

In 1991 Shell logos replaced the Ultra Hi logos. That's all that I can think of.
