ford put in $3mil for the 2008 budget, that money was already spent before mid year, remember Ford also gave him money for the rally cars!!! all Jason had to do was find a backer, but he doesnt share very well and wanted to do it on his own... there was no development at Britek, as the people he employed were not good enough to propel the car any further, you seem to forget Slater was his engineer and the car went no where slower than before. All Jason had to do was find an investor and more sponsors... has really nothing to do with ford!!!! How does BJR find money with no Holden backing? Please tired of all the excuses, Jason is 37. if he cant figure it out, then he shouldnt have a team anyway |

The bigger issue here is the ridiculous cost of V8Supercars.
I nearly choked on my spoon when I was told how much it costs a driver for a co-drive in a tail-end car in one enduro event. In regards to Bright, I think his biggest ever mistake was leaving FPR just when he and the team were starting to hit their strides. And I still firmly believe he is one of the best drivers in the championship. As for his comments - well, Ford lost Triple 8 because of their own stupidity, and they have only this year returned to funding DJR. I tend to think they do only really have themselves to blame - they lost the best team in the championship through pure pettiness. |
