jonathanc should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I still think that mid week racing is a good idea. I know its not ideal as most people work, but it would cut the costs down somewhat.

And where are most of the people that run at club level going to come from? A lot of people, both racing team personel and officials work in the week, will they have to use their holiday allowance to attend?

Welcome back Chicago-boy !

Straight back into the thick of it with a posting !

Despite modern flexible working practices, most people still work 8-5 Monday to Friday, so midweek would be difficult.

Forgive my ignorance, but what happens at Track Days, which are predominantly midweek. Do they have marshals, and are they paid by the organisers ?

They do have marshals, who are paid by the circuit. However, they run at a minimum level, typically one per post, which means that any incident, no matter how trivial, results in a red flag.

James/Steve, is Britcar going abroad next year-and any idea also when the championship might kick off for 2004?
