I think he meant the picture is small, as in hard to make out any of the details on the car.

Accoriding to a new press release, Audi says that they'll enter chassis numbers 202 and 203--isn't 204 the LM winner?
Also, it confirms that this weekend there will the a 2 day test. I wonder who else will show up side from Audi, Peugeot and the other heavy hitters? |

Doesn't say anything about the Pugs being out, but it says that the all-pro Ford GT is running on E-85. Also on the R15 that was damaged, it said that Kristensen may've been driving, who hasn't been to RA since 2002-long before the track was resurfaced. The message said that it seemed to be mostly bodywork, and since it was turn 12 (passed pit entrance) the car made it back to the garage--whether it was under it's own power was towed out of the gravel and into the pits it doesn't say.

Wonder if Peugeot will go out tomorrow--rain is forcasted. Audi might depending on how bad it is if the #7 sat out the rest of the session--Audi have the newer car, and a lot of stuff they had last year might not work, and they need all the track time they can get right now, between the revised car, TK not racing at RA since 2002, and the drivers in the #9 having little experience at Road Atlanta.

It seems the test was abandoned early after a GTC 911 went off and buried itself into a tire wall.
Oddly, I went on IMSA's site, and I found the test day schedule on, of all things, an entry form! It said something about a "hot" Session in the morning and afternoon, and a "cold" session in the evening. That seems not to be the case now, but it seems that all's subject to change in all forms of motorsport. Edit: The ALMS' facebook page has a few photos up. From it, I can conclude that Audi got both cars out to do laps, that Peugeot are definintely set up, but no on track photos yet. Last edited by chernaudi; 25 Sep 2010 at 21:28. |

Did anybody find out which GTC car went off in T1 and how serious it was?

I don't even know how bad the #7 Audi's off was. This is from Twitter, and it seems that they have a low limit for what you can type. They said that the #7 Audi and the #44 FLM Porsche had big spins/offs, but no damage reports.
No damage reports on the #7 Audi, #44 Porsche, no report on the car # of the GTC Porsche and how bad the damage, nor who turned laps--they didn't even report on the 908s and if they went out, even though the ALMS' facebook page have several photos of the R15s and a pic of the 908s in their tent under the car covers. So I don't have a lot of info on any of this unless someone was there. |

It raining? It seems that the heavy hitters have sat out so far. That also means that Peugeot haven't turned a lap all weekend. A waste of time to come if true, aside from saving time later getting their pup tents set up!
Although the same can be said of Audi, as they had only one car that ran most of the session yesterday and that seemed to be the #7 inspite of the alleged off it had--either ALMS notes confused the #9 (which it seemed did the normal testing deal-run a few laps, come in, run a few more) or the off wasn't that bad. Edit: ALMS notes says that most of the teams (aside from Peugeot, I think, along with Cytosport) were out early in the morning, and have since put their cars in the garage because of the rain. However, the Porsche Hybrid seems to be lapping right now. Last edited by chernaudi; 26 Sep 2010 at 19:46. |

Either way, whatever that was ahead of the Audi sounded pretty ragged, especially if it was a FLM/LMPC car. |

A somewhat important weather update: Ironic, isn't it? Atlanta is nearly in a drought, and they're under a flood watch until Monday night!
Probably has minimal impact on the test today, but at least the forcast isn't looking like a repeat of last year--all race week will be sunny with high temps in the lower '80s and mid-upper 70s. |

I noticed that too. 2" of rain forecast over Monday/Tuesday. The good news is, they'll have Wed,Thurs, and Fri to clean up whatever mess the rain brings.

It was a closed test. He must have been a crew member or a worker to get that video at that location. No doubt from a cell phone or camera.
