On this subject, been in touch with Starworks who gave me the basics of their look, so have updated with an Artist Impression. Possible the Venezuelan Arrow head could become an arc around the rear wheel arch (like their older DP livery) |

After the Tully's debacle, I see the sponsorship on the Dempsey/Del Perio car has been replaced with the Velocity. Not surprising I guess, but interesting nonetheless. They are really pushing his 4-part Le Mans series.

Knowing the race organizers the last 2 years Im sure Friday there wont be a chicane, friday after practice csrs are flying and everyones like wow how did that happen.
then they have to scramble and make a crappy chicane before saturday's sessions. Its happened 2 years in a row, soo it will probably happen again unfortunately. |

Spencer Pumpelly @SpencerPumpelly2m
The chicane at @baltimoreGP is much better than the one from 2011. It's faster and not such a bottle neck. L.P. |

2nd practice session is beginning right now.
DK Edit: Once again, after the first 15 minutes or so, you can throw a blanket over the top 5 GT cars. Setting up for a great race this weekend! Last edited by dxk1; 30 Aug 2013 at 16:38. |

Was CORE really on top in both practice sessions? A bit surprising.
Both Vettes and Falken are doing ok so far. |

Well, for the Indy Cars, that chicane is NOT preventing the cars from getting air! They're getting plenty of it going through the chicane, and apparently, just assaulting those curbs!

Bumps and jumps should be mandatory on street courses. Extremely entertained ATM, and there is still 9 mins left in GTC quali.
Good stuff! Last edited by fieldodreams79; 30 Aug 2013 at 20:46. |

I'm fine with some surface in consistency on a temporary circuit, but that chicane, or alternately, the rail lines, is a bit much.
Rusty Mitchell just took the right-front corner off the #7 PC. They haven't shown a good angle on what happened, but he went almost head-on into the pit wall exiting Turn 7. |

And this is one of my favorite ever street courses. It is simple but seems to have a little bit of everything. |

If they had more low-mounted cameras, you would see plenty of motion from the cars from the exit of Turn 12 all the way around to the exit of Turn 4 (the concrete-paved section of the track). You certainly DO see the motion whenever they switch to the onboards.

For me the bumps are a real appeal of the track - a bumpy street track is one of the things that, for me, is a hallmark of the American racing I loved watching in the 1980s and 1990s - and it's great to see something that's still quite so gritty and unsanitised.
Looking forward to seeing the LMPs bouncing over them in a couple of minutes. |

Great job by Cameron again, he's been great in the PC cars both times we have seen him.

Dyson are just no match for the MMilk crew. Hopefully the race is closer.

As I said, I'm fine with some level of bumpiness; I sure wish the current Prototypes and Open-Wheelers (Indy, F1, etc) still had titanium skid plates!
Franchitti made good use of his last flying lap, and put himself up behind just one of the LMPCs, rather than four of them. Chris Dyson also knocked off a few tenths on his final lap. As long as Chris can keep it together, and in touch with the MM guys, I think Guy Smith could give the #6 an actual run for their money. |

It's pretty clear the last couple of years with the Lola haven't been the easiest, for reasons mainly way beyond their control, but you can't help thinking that running the car with a second string crew doesn't help; a Dyson with Smith/Dyson behind the wheel is a lot more interesting. |

There will prolly b quite a few cautions so as long as they can stay on the same lap it should be close.
