Yes, that is a very sexy race car. It reminds me of the Maserati MC12 GT1 car a little bit.

No, but the teams on the ground in Sebring will still have some learning to do...

Also, I think the Viper has had some test seasons at Roebling a few weeks ago.

Yea, I've never liked the other DPs' always thought they were ugly as sin, but the DP Corvette was always a favorite of mine.

Yea, if you figure that the P2 will be a bit slower due to running LeMans configuration it's going to be pretty close.

Sorry guys, I just can't help myself... what can the doom-and-gloom "fans" say now that DPs and P2s are running at the same speed? Maybe NASCAR was right this time?

It will look strange, running in the same race as the Mazda/Lolas, the ESM HPD's and the other P2 cars.

The new additions to the DP's do help the look of the cars a little.

That DP definitely looks better but there is still something about it that hurts my eyes...

PointDSM is a back marker
The only issue I have with the DP's now (after the additions for 2014) is the lack of aero on the side pods. While an LMP2 has side pods (the part between the front & rear wheels and to the side of the driver compartment) that actually assist the car, the DP's have cardboard boxes.

The front & rear appearance and aero is great, but the sides have always been my issue (since they got rid of the Gen 1 DP's).

The DP's are still tanks compared to LMP cars, and that is not a compliment.

As Lmps look like something that crawled out the woodworks, it is not an insult either.

I prefer the lack of side aero...makes the cars look cleaner.

GTP-era stuff.

So, we're comparing a brand new car to cars that are eligible for historics... that actually works for me! Whoohooo

Yes, I know that, hence my use of the words "comparing," and "works for me." Fascinating how you'll find something contrary to say to someone that's agreeing with you.

The DP was a good looking car. Now it's a great looking car. What a sexy beast.
