Lisboa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
In 2004 ASM had a lot of money from Mercedes, and 3 very good drivers. But, in Macau and Bahrain (where nobody can test) they were not the fasters. In my opinion, Prema with Hamilton should be on top like Asm.

Hamilton is actually with ASM this year, not Prema...

People will remember how dominant ASM were last year and expect him to cruise to win, but they had a head start then after all the testing they did at the end of 2003.

In '03 Prema had the upper hand with Ryan Briscoe and I agree that they are just as good a team as ASM. So are Signature, probably.

It should be far more open this year as everyone is starting with new cars.

Toot Toot: the reason ASM only finished third in the 2003 Euroseries is probably because they had Olivier Pla driving – he's not really that good.

I was trying to highlight the point that it doesn't take an ASM car to win, if they finished third then another team must have won.

Hamilton/ASM

Hamilton driving ASM cars should be the man to beat in 2005. I would also pay a good attention to Rossiter with Signature, but this will depend a lot on Opel improvements. Does anyone would put your money in Van der Garde as well?

Same for Perera and Prema, with the advantage of his second season in F3 Euro.

I think it will be interesting to see newcomers like Di Resta (Manor), Abreu and Vettel (Mücke).

BTW, who's driving Manor second car? Di Grassi?

You mean a British series team will be jumping ship from our series to the Euroseries flor?

The only one that could possibly be would be Promatecme off the top of my head and I can't see that as likely. All the other main class teams have started to confirm drivers so unless they decide to do both (unlikely) or unless its a National Class team (also unlikely) I can't see this happening.....

Esteban Guerrieri possibly to race for the until now unknown "second British" F3Euro team "Midland Junior", the team to be a mix of Carlin and Kolles personnel, using British licence and base in Germany. Second driver possibly Roman Rusinov.

Isn't he supported by Mercedes Argentina?

Last year, he tested for Mücke Motorsport because of his links to Mercedes Argentina.

No idea. It was a bad decision on his part to do EuroF3 last year, except that he may have had some funding from Mercedes. He simply dropped out of sight.

BritF3 is much better for a first year in the formula, e.g. James Rossiter, not that Kimber-Smith is at his level anyway.

Any idea who will drive for Midland F3? Rusinov is gonna test MidlandF1-Dallara in summer but is he also their F3 pilot?

I personally would like to see Formula Lada (FLada uses F3 chassis and 1600cc Lada engine) champion Aleksei Pavlovski in Euro Series. He came second in Finnish F3 championship 2003 (another Lukoil backed driver Andrea Bellichi won). It would be nice to see what he can do in some proper series...

I'll say it again, what about Petrov, he was pretty impressive in the FRenault at Donington.

Giedo v/d Garde will drive for Team Rosberg in Euro F3 Championship. Other Team Rosberg driver is Kohei Hirate.

Great for Giedo, I hope he does well. But now that Hirate is confirmed at Rosberg and Streit looks to go to Japan F3, what will happen with Perera. Can he stay at Prema, or will they run just 2 cars for Bonamoni and Franchi. If yes, than it's their worst lineup in years. Perera deserves a good seat.

Don't worry

Perera will be at Prema (100%) and all three drivers will use the Dallara F305 Opel-Spiess
