JHamilton and I did some Apache painting. A bit warm. I am sure yard work was fun! Wish I could do the historics, but alas, it's crazy fall time even though it's not fall yet. |

I guess I better start warming up my cornhole arm over the next month. Hope that sounded as dirty in print as it did in my mind. |

OK, here is the way I see it...
There is a big tropical mess about to attack the south. I'm glad to see that we're getting it out of the way 30 days before the race instead of during the weekend of the race. Let's all be thankful that it's getting this stuff of way now, and declare that PLM weekend will be full of perfect weather. I think we all deserve a good race week after '09 and last year. Just sayin' |

Looks like we'll just get a bunch of wind up here. Hopefully the southern part of the state and FLA won't get hit too bad.
I'll prepare for the worst and hope for the best! My ticket should be arriving soon... |

Hoping my ticket shows up soon to confirm the early entry pass myself. Already thinking ahead about food, have a few cans of biscuits and going to try cinnamon rolls one morning too. Thinking about a couple breakfast bakes with sausage, egg and potatoes, probably one Italian with tomato and one with sage sauage and cheddar. And yes, will be making the apple spice and chocolate cherry desserts as well.
First dose of tropical influence here I think, wind and a few HEAVY but quick showers about 30 min ago in Tucker. |

Damn, they haven't emailed me anything about the delay. Think they'd tell their Ultimate fans, especially as I want to verify my entry time and steal our usual site. Hell, they can save the postage and I'll pick it up on the 17th since I'll be up there for the day for historics.

IF I WERE TO GO.
It would probably be a fairly new Chrysler Minivan, because I'd pick it up from the airport and then drive it there and camp in it for 5 days. |

Does Fields get a Mitty exemption for additional craziness, including touring (ok, riding and praying around) the track?
Pathetically short list: 95 Suburban (extra comfort when camping in line Tuesday) 14 Ram (not as comfy a sleep in the front bucket seat, but not this year) 3 short weeks and then |

Today I learned VW made a car called the Dasher. It's a first generation Passat/Audi 80 if you don't want to look it up. |
