Justin - sorry if I sounded a bit short. What I meant to say is that for good or bad Jamie prefers gear ratios that are little 'individual' in the way thy're configured!!! Just happens to suit his driving style. So it wasn't a question of Infiniti doing anything wrong, rather they were relying on Jamie to tell them what he wanted. However, no data meant he wouln't have been able to check the impact of the changes he was asking for, so he decided to stay with the existing ratios.

No worries. Should be interesting to see if he can find some speed changing them.

Yes it will, but more likely it will be a combination of a new engine + gear ratios + a few other small tweaks + Jamie getting more track time (the last Mallory test/race was his first time in a car since last November)that will produce a reduction in lap times. He was some 4 tenths off Hewitt and Wills last time out, but feels he can get closer. However, we'll see, words are words, it's doing it on the track that counts!!

Yes, it will be on there tonight. Effectively a double header for the price of one - might tempt a few people to switch their entry from Anglesey or Snetterton.

DALY
Do us SoM regulars need to enter the free race or is it automatic? I've already entered the Mono 1600 race so could be a busy day. Keep up the good FF1600 work. |

Mr Moderator, can I be your deputy moderator please?
The reason for this application is I would like to be a Race Official rather than a Veteran. Why? To totally wind up Redracer77 and blue nose. |

I'm just working out what we'd need to do to make you a Veteran Race Official, which I think would somehow be appropriate.

Race entry details for free second race to be confirmed, there is an entry form and to pay £50 if they are not BRSCC racing members.
All competitors must take the start of the SoM race. Will get back to you. PS Don't forget the Edwina Overend Memorial Trophy, it will be two (2) classes, (pre and post 86/87) and there is over £2000 in teh prize fund, a full race day in AUGUST (8th) entry forms out soon. Diz, sorry if the regional races clash, this is what we were supposed to avoid, however we are still living with the 2003 BRSCC legacy. Next year WILL be different! |

Peter, It's not as dire as I thought. At todays drivers meeting, a couple of dozen are already entered for the Leinster MC meeting, so where their single figure comes from, I don't know. None have had any confirmation from the club though. Also, the marshalling world suffers from their "it'll be alright on the day" mentality. This year - and previously - marshals who haven't heard have cancelled to marshal elsewhere.

Diz you can take my entry off that as I hear the yellow peril lost all it's wheels today and it could be 2 months before it will be back together.

Jamie (Morrow)tells me he came in at 49.1 (windy, everyone losing time on main straight), Hewitt 49.0 dead and Wills at 48.8. All pretty close
