We were talking about the speed trap data being a little odd. Or the positioning being strange.

Hence I wondered if these differences could be confirmed by visual observations. Or at least commented on whether they are impactful.

I’m sure they are good, but it could be more a function of the acceleration and the positioning than the top speed. As we’ve seen from on boards they aren’t top speed.

Would that be the single difference in lap times? I mean would that equal the 0.9 seconds differences on their fastest laps (assuming top speed was on fastest lap)?

If there is that big of a gap between some cars in a straight line that will impact overtaking slower cars during the race and skew towards the Toyo's even more.

I don't really believe that BMW was 20km/h slower than Porsche/Toyota. I don't understand where this number could have been measured. That kind of difference is like LMP1 vs LMP2.

For tomorrow, my money is on Ferrari and Toyota on the podium but Cadillac can be a darkhorse if they can have a clean race. Porsche will struggle too much with tire degradation. An Alpine should finish in the top 10. They struggle to bring tires up to temperature which is a perfect problem to have for tomorrow's much warmer conditions.

Hopefully the commentary just talks about BoP. We wouldn’t want to enjoy the racing.

Myself I have slightly different expectations, more like Bahrain 2023 again. So Sandless-yota disappearing into the distance and Ferrari fighting with Porsche to be best of the rest. Caddy can be strong but somehow I can't believe they might have a clean race without shooting themselves in the foot again in some dumb way.

I've no expectations but they are holding the first raw and they'll probably catch up with the last GT's in first position, when the other drivers and marshalls will be "fresh". Only Toyota can beat Toyota today imo, they are quick and fast. We'll know more at the beginning of the third hour, lets see who and how many stayed in the leader's lap whoever is the leader.

It is outrageous. Some one should be sacked.
EDIT: The Eurosport stream was even worse! You could go to the page with the stream to be ready, but when it became time it did not start automatically! Madness.

Official stream is awful again. Buffering every few seconds, was even worse during qualifying. I’ll give it a few minutes but may end up just waiting for the replay on YT if it doesn’t get better.

I'm streaming on MAX and yesterday i couldn't get commentary to cast it would only play on my phone. Today I have commentary, but english is not a selectable language! This all worked fine before le mans and now it is all bonkers.

English comms when i watch on my phone screen but no english when casting.

There isn't much grip on the outside in T1, as the Alpine confirmed.

Eurosport stream is legendary in it's quality. Although no BoP commentary feed.

Yeah I’ll stick to Indy IMSA TDF and Euros haha. Player won’t run and when it does it’s grainy and buffers. Also worked fine up to LeMans. Wonder if it’s a circuit infrastructure thing. Maybe I’ll try the replay later and if not YouTube in a week it is.
