"Sandbagging, yeah that's it, we're sandbagging, that's why we're so slow." Then again, one should never ascribe to malice what one can easily explain with incompetence. Perhaps the Maserati is just not a good car for Sebring. ...although I doubt they're really 5 seconds off the pace. Then again, I doubt that Larbre ought to be that far off, as well. |

I just looked at the practice results from this morning's session at Sebring. Most of the prototype teams sat it out and judging by the times it was quite rainy.

I'm surprised they went with AER in the new Lola considering that they switched from AER to the Judd with the old B160.

Tomorrow and Saturday supposed to be sunny and clear with (hopefully) no more rain.
Can't wait to get there. Heading down tomorrow afternoon... |

I have two questions:
1. Why can't the cars qualify in the wet, just like in F1? 2. Since qualy has been cancelled, how do they come up with the grid? |

I'd imagine as an airport it has more than adequate drainage. You don't want standing water on a runway any more than you want it on a racetrack.

^^ That's a good point, Marcel. The majority of F1 circuits have elevation changes, but Sebring is pretty flat so there is no place for the water to go.
