driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
sell it!
all the prosports had granda V6 as standard motors but the achilles heel wa steh FT200 was not man enough for the task the FGB should have been used cwp/diff wore out too quickly- not sure if they used 831 or 10 31 cwp- i have 6 new 831 cwp in stock
i have V6 exhaust header set new for sale and cv joints ( special to prosport)

good luck - with Britsports dwindling I am not sure how many outlets it will have - you will struggle to get top dollar

ProSport 3000

Hi

I have just purchased a "box of bits" which when re-assembled will be a Prosport 3000.

I will use the car for Hill climbing & Sprinting here in the UK.

However - I am fitting a V8 OMC two stroke engine with about 350hp and using a CVT transmission.

I have lots of problems to overcome but if anyone has any data on setup of the chassis, I would be most interested to get some details.

Work proceeds getting the "Box of bits" assembled.

Found a fellow with 3 of the cars who sold me the missing rear suspension.

Now looking for the rear drive stub axles and wheel mounting flanges OR ones I can borrow and copy.?????? any about. I have drive shafts + CV joints

HOLY JUPITER, 'lots of problems to overcome' qualifies as the understatement of the decade!

Hillcimber1, I love the stand you gave for the rear bodywork.

It looks a great project. I was always intrigued by these cars.

I wouldn't be to intrigued by these cars. After Thundersports was canned BH decided it needed a sportscar series and came up with this. They had a tie up with Ford at the time so got stock 24v Cologne engines breathed on by Cosworth for next to nothing producing an amazing "300 bhp"! And even that broke the gearboxes that came with the car.........

The cars themselves were pretty basic Ultimas and were 50k from memory in 1992. That money in 1992 would buy a Spice C2 car! The Group C racers the series had planned to hoover up went off to interserie or Historics instead.
