It looks that two additional RECs are up for grabs. We can safely assume one will go to Tickford for Randle?

Ingall will return in 2022 if Supercars go to paddleshift, according to Speedcafe!

At first I thought he's saying this in order to ridicule the paddleshift idea (to show it'll make it 'too easy') but it turns out he said it for real. Not so sure about his stance that this'll make so many retired 'icons' to come back though. |

MSR may have offered only a small amount for the REC. If Tickford were bidding specifically for the one they handed back, then they could put in an over the top bid as they would be writing a cheque to themselves, less Supercars handling fee.

According to AA, MSR is still determined to run 3 cars next season.

There may have been a reserve price that would not have been disclosed to bidders which Tickford met and MSR didn’t.

Or is Feeney more of a shoe-in at T888 than we think and this latest 'promise' is just words and publicity garnering and Feeney will do it without Boost support.. |

How long is the Triple 8 Ampol deal for? Makes sense for Ampol to jump over to WAU to tie in with their lubricants Mobil 1 deal. Boost could then replace Ampol's Triple 8 realestate.

Anyway, he just this week said his preference was drivers in the way he is backing Courtney at Tickford and Kostecki and Erebus.... and has pledged to back Feeney if needed (the implication was if Feeney did not get the Whincup gig he would find a car for him.) I dont think he wants to be a secondary backer of a team as would be if he replaced Ampol at T888. Im just of that opinion because of what he has said this week. Of course with Adderton, what he says this week is not always the same as what he might say the following week / month (with all respects to a bloke who at least dips his hand in his pocket) |

That said, their former branding in Caltex will reappear.. as the replacement for Puma (now Chevron owned) across the country. And then we have EG.. who own the Woolworths (formerly Caltex) service station sites who have not made their branding intentions clear... Plus Mobil's alliances with 7/11, with X Convenience amongst others which makes no sense of the Mobil1 oils Ampol distribution connection. Nothing seems to stay the same too easily... |

I must admit I thought they had extended his contract last year. Unless this is a new contract?
But certainly no surprises either way. I think he prefers the 'big fish in a small tank' set up where he is the undoubted #1 driver. |
