Very pleased with first race. Well done to Prialux, very good first race for Yvan, great to see. And solid performance for Thommo which is cool.

first race was goodish .. Priaulx was just unstoppable . with a few nice battles..
but race 2 was electric .. all you need is get Farfus to lead a race ) shame about Zanardi.. Huff was a bit greedy .. trying to follow Menu .. Alfa Seat Chevy .. very competitive it seems |

I get the impression BMW is less competative compared to the last few years. Are the Yokohama tires less suited for RWD cars? |

Good first race, if a little flat. Priaulx just edged away lap after lap, still a good result for Priaulx. Race 2 was much better IMO, a good battle between Farfus and Zanardi. A bit of a shame that Zanardi's suspension didnt last the distance but if you take risks like that with the car ocassionally things will give out.

What a great, if a little bit 'BTCCy' second race.
BMW have shown they're the car to beat, Priaulx and Zanardi the effective performance holders in both races IMO, but Seat have strength in numbers and I think that's what will be their greatest edge. Amazing drive by Balzan, amazing run by Huff considering he started last, great to see Chevrolet get their podium. Brilliant first run for Yvan Muller, I expected he and Tarquini to need to get some time to adjust based on Rydell's relatively long learning curve with the Seat back in '04, but I guess not. To lead the championship after the first race is a great acheivement. But Martin, if you're reading - he's not the reigning British champion I'm afraid, that's Matt Neal This season should be great. |

well that's not that bad ..
the guy in the Eurosport Romania said Rydel won the BTCC Championship in the 850 Break .. add to that . F3000 Masters is not F3000 International from a couple of years ago and the fact that the Viper Competition Coupe GT3 cars are based on the new generation Viper .. to name just a few things he hasn't got a clue about |

Race 2 was absolutely fantastic.
For me, Balzan is man of the day - he really deserved podium in race 2. What he deserves even more, is seat in Ntechnology. Farfus was as good in race 2, as bad on the start for race 1 It's also great to see, tha Seats are 100% competitive now. Chevrolet got lucky podium finish, but I don't expect it happen again very soon. Oh and is it just me, or Zanardi's BMW was way faster on the straight than anything else ? Farfus and Rydell had no chances to keep up with him. |

Should be a good season for neutral fans. When in doubt, cheer for Muller as one of them is bound to do well.
I didn't enjoy the WTCC much last year but the Monza races seemed like a big improvement this time around, although I admit that could just be my Yvan Muller bias creeping in. |

I'm beginning to like this Muller chap now he's a Seat driver...
For a few minutes before the start of race two I thought us Eurosport viewers were going to be treated to the circuit commentary. |

Indeed nice races!
Dark second race for BMW though, with best BMW man a privateer in 11:th place. And Robert Huff, there was no chance for him, ended Rydells race on the last lap. Too bad for us Swedes But SEAT is looking very promising, but I think we will see some furious fights between the team mates. A bit dissapointing form from the two other SEAT drivers Terting and Gené that didnt seem to be able to follow the "new" pace from the new SEAT-drivers. |

Shame Zanardi went out of race two......could've been right up the championship table.
What a move from Alain on Rickard at the end there, very aggressive! |
