It worries me that this becomes a problem in 2023. Although only because of normal pessimism. Fingers crossed. |

The start of the FP3 stream showed the crash between the two Ferraris. I wonder whether using the full pitl ane (and thus the extended exit) is/was an option for WEC? It would bring the cars onto the Kemmel safely given they're all on cold tyres.
Could see similar issues happening in the race with the current system. Cars will be crawling through that corner and closing speeds will be large. |

Peak Spa that. Very little you can draw from those times - but if the race start is wet then P2 will be right up there.

Looks like damp conditions for the practice. And just a month ago, Ferrari and Porsche were doing a testing there in similar conditions.
Let's see if they put in play what they learned... |

If qually is dry the times should get quicker and quicker through each session as the track rubbers in again. Should be a fun session.

It is safe to say that this would be an advantage for toyota, for the simple reason that they have the most data on different conditions for the GR010. |

I bet the hypercar teams were happy to have a damp track in FP3 so they have an idea how their cars may behave during the race. But at the same time, I don't think any of them pushed very hard because they didn't want to risk their machinery before the race.

Hopefully that's not two quali shunts and two DNF's for Hyett this month. Glad he's okay that was a big one.

Really weird crash. Hartley was cruising through Eau Rouge, just touched the kerb and lost the rear. Cold tyres to blame no doubt.
