Sette Camara is paying attention to the free seat at Trident.

Would be a bad choice. Trident is a bad team in Formula 2.

And it’s not ‘free’ like the Hitech seat.

Is it just me or does the grid feel pretty stale this year? Many of the drivers have been at this level for a while now, we pretty much know what to expect from them.

There's still a few seats to be filled, so I wouldn't worry too much

Ghiotto, Gelael and perhaps Deletraz aside there has been quite a clear out of seasoned journeymen this winter!

A lot of newcomers with promise and a few decent seats still up for grabs so it looks good on paper.

You missed Markelov from your seasoned journeyman list.

It’s perhaps a bit stale but most of the talent from the last couple of seasons have fortunately moved onward to some great opportunities.

I would say a lot of the F3 graduates are very interesting prospects, especially Armstrong and Schwartzmann. I’d also be interested to see how Guan Yu Zhou gets on with a season under his belt, he’s definitely one to watch this year.

By the way, I’m not sure Ghiotto will be doing the whole season, 4 rounds clash with his SRO GT commitments.

F2 needs some veterans in the grid. It is always good to train the youth.

How do veterans train the youth. You mean those in the same team presumably?

Within the same team, and also they’re someone for the ‘juniors’ to watch and measure themselves against

Samaia is a proper left-field entry. Suspect he’ll be going wheel to wheel with Nissany around the back row

I’ve never heard of him? Who is he? Where does he rank on the raghunathan scale?

I think he’s an ex F3 South America champion, but spent the past season and a half with middling results in EuroFormula Open (as in, a handful of podium finishes).

He’s light years clear on the Raghunathan scale. I think Samaia will just be an unobtrusive backmarker rather than a liability

Daruvala joins Carlin as a Red Bull junior

http://www.fiaformula2.com/News-Room...with-Red-Bull/

so that makes Carlin a full Red Bull team in F2 2020
