Bring it to Brands Hatch in August, please BMW... Oh well, won't happen, but would be nice to see it. Will watch the progress on the Nordschleife with interest...

Should we expect there to be an American based presence for the cars perhaps even running IMSA GTD as well as Intercontinental SRO? |

Got to imagine that IMSA GTD PRO, IGTC, DTM, N24, will be at the top of the priority list for 2022

As per confirmation from Japanese Samurai on SuperGT thread, Team Studie become first ever customer for M4 GT3. The debut race of M4 GT3 has already been decided, but it cannot be made clear because current world situation (Covid) but I think it related with GTWC and NLS race. On that post stated BMW test with various tire brand that not happened on M6 GT3 so they trying make car performance on every tire are similar I guess. |

Do next gen gt3 cars need to keep the road chassis?
Because according to various sources, street 2021 bmw m4 wheelbase is 112.5in long (2858mm). I expect also other manufacturers would find a way to enlong their upcoming gt3 to 5m. A long car has unquestionable undercar aero advantages |

The tendency cannot be good for close racing, OEM budgets, etc. Why is this allowed? For decades FIA watched these same tendencies ruin things and they keep letting it happen.
When GTEs grew huge almost Bosozoku-style diffusers a few years ago to the point that Porsche had to develop a mid-engined 911, it was obvious then the class is headed towards a fiery demise. GT3's next. It's even longer than the BMW Meme8 GTE! BMW's compact coupe racer is the length of a current gen Dodge Challenger. Last edited by Pandamasque; 7 Jun 2021 at 13:36. |

Sigh... and here I was hoping for a small nimble car ala Z4...
But then again, even the M3/M4 road cars are huge, comparable in size and weight to the 5 series of old. |

It looks so much better than the roadcar. I wish it sounded better though.

Does BMW have a large fan base outside of Germany? I think their big hulky looking cars with the quiet noise has kept the vehicles from being spectacular from a sportscar standpoint. Thus keeping t hem from having a large loyal fan base in racing terms. I can't imagine they have a fan bases anywhere near Porsche or Corvette or Ferrari levels.

The 4 Series is 4.77 m long. Then if you add splitters, diffusers and rear wing, you can't expect a small car.

There is a fan base I'm sure but I'm sure Corvette C8R dwars the BMW M8 in terms of this. What engine noises did we talk about. Ford, Porsche, and Corvette we always loved. BMW never got any mention. Quiet is boring in auto racing.
