I've now recieved the '82 956L and am pleased to say it's a very nice model.

It has a few too many decals for my liking but they are well applied and easy to replace should the worst happen!

The rear cowling also fits snuggly.

I'm now waiting for my 2002 Bentley to arrive, looking ahead I can't wait for the Exoto Daytona winning Jaguar XJR-9 and the already mentioned 905 and R10.

Glad to hear it's a good one. Better than the 83 model? That one wasn't great Have you done the Rothmans conversion?

The 87 #17 car you mentioned a couple of posts up is another winner, I think? That's gonna cost me more money (when I get some )

Any idea if the Sauber C9 #63 will ever be available as a single car? The idea of the spare chassis thing is ridiculous and, with them going for getting closer to 300 quid, I'm never gonna be able to afford one

I'll hold off the Rothmans conversion for now, may do it at a later date.

I don't have the '83 car (what were the problems?), the '82 956 is as good as any other recent Minchamps though.

The Saubers not available as a single car, I already have 3 other, non Silver, versions so I doubt I'll buy another.

The next Exoto Mercedes I'll buy will be one of the C11's or C291 when thy're released.

I've not had a problem with the '83 car myself but people complain of the engine cover simply not fitting and poor paint finish. Maybe I've just been lucky!

The Sauber thing is severely irritating though! I'm sure Exoto realise there's people like me who collect winners and hope that I'll splash out and buy that one

I simply don't have enough room to display my 1/43rds, let alone any 1/18 scale models, but if the 1959 Aston ever gets issued, can you give us the heads up, Craig?

so spark are making a 1:18 version of the peugeot 905?, if they are fantastic, i recently bought the newly released 1982 porsche 956 by minichamps in rothmans colours.

and the LM2005 winning audi R8 by spark (its also signed by all the winning drivers).

i also bought a 1:43 2005 dome S101 racing for holland by spark, a cracking model, i have these models, not many but im still building up my collection but space is a major problem.

1:18

kyosho LM1999 winning BMW LMR V12
LM1998 mercedes CLK GTR maisto
spark LM2005 winning audi R8 champion signed by all drivers

1:43

spa 1000km 2005 winning zytek 04S
LM2005 dome S101 judd racing for holland
(soon to be on its way are the LM2006 creation CA06H, pescarolo C60 hybrid judd and the courage competition advan LM2006 courage LC70 mugen)

thats all the sportscars i have, i have a few road cars and a few rally cars, one of which is signed by colin mcrae, its an 2001 ford focus WRC by autoart.

Yes Spark are making the 905, the others haven't been anounced yet, I'm guessing the 908, R10 and Pescaolo.

Spark have also been bought out by Minchamps, Minichamps already distributed the Spark 1.18 R8's in Europe.

Exoto also have all the winning 956's listed as future models while the IMSA GTP Jaguar XJR-9's are due any time now.

Strictly speaking, Minichamps are now the European and North American distributor for Spark, and haven't bought them out. However, that will probably mean higher prices and degraded customer service, but I'll be happy to be wrong.

The 905 looks fantastic, can't wait to get one in my collection!

Anyone have any idea how the Norev and Spark R10s will compare?

Well, going on their 1/18 offerings so far Norev will be much cheaper - nearly half as much, here sooner and much less well detailed in the cockpit and brake area.

Can't complain though - the 1/18 prototype collector has never had it so good.

Now let's have a Zytek/DBA/Creation please. Think of all of the livery variations...

It's a shame that the quality isn't quite as good with Norev, but wholely understandable. You get what you pay for, after all. I'll probablt wait until Le Mans and check them both out myself before deciding which to buy. It's always nice to return from France with a little souveneir anyway. Last year I came back with the Champion Audi of 2005, which I was well pleased with, it's a very nice model. I'm really not bothered about it being sealed, can't get that excited about it, after all it's going inside a model cabinet, not being played with

spark are making a 1:43 scale creation CA06H judd which should be out by now but isnt for some reason, also the courage LC70 mugen and judd are not out yet in 1:43 form from spark which is getting a bit annoying.

as far as i know no model company is making a zytek 06S which is sad imo, also latest add to my collection is the del bello noel courage C65 mecachrome

I can confirm Spark are making the 905 as well as Norev, I had it confrimed in an email.

Great to see the Pescaolo in 1/18, it gives me hope we'll see the Zytek etc, not just factory cars.

Uh oh, I've been naughty. It's been a while, but, I've bought another one! I'd seen a fully liveried 1982 Rothmans Porsche on eBay and I was surprised to see hardly anyone was bidding on it. I got it for £38 quid

These are now £40, previously the R8's were £50+.

I guess demands slowing as they get ready to launch the R10's.
