Er, Max did move left. Whether or not he moved because Vettel moved is up for discussion, but Max moved drivers left. Max turns right off of the grid, then turns left into Kimi, presumably because Vettel was coming.

Your love for him seens to be blinding you. Max made a bad start, saw Raikkonen coming and tried to block him but was too late and hit him. He just makes too many mistakes by lack of experience. |

There was a way of avoiding that btw - Max could've...backed out. Can't move left because there's a car there, can't move right because there's an accident inbound. Could just lift off and let them have their own accident.

or Alonso, who is IMO the big loser and really innocent in all what happened.

I think it was too late for Verstappen to back out.

Max did not have a bad start, he was gaining on Vettel and it was Vettel who tried to block him , Kimi just tried to squeeze through a gap that was not there, must be their lack of experience |

Hulkenberg pits a lap later, Palmer too. Vandoorne too.
They still hadn't caught up with the Safety Car |

How does it matter that Kimi had a better start?
He squeezed Max, so did Vettel, and they all crashed out. This is fully both Ferrari's fault, absolutely no question about it. So don't be so Trump about this. |

Max (almost) never backs out. That is one of his stong points, but equally one of his biggest weaknesses. You can gain some places at the start, but also lose the race there. Something Max has already experienced a lot of times.

Wehrlein still on wets. Will he be one of the first to change to slicks?
EDIT: He just pitted, but they didn't show which tires he took. Probably inters then, otherwise it would have been on TV by now? |

Almost everybody pits for slicks now. Hamilton will be one of the last to change

lap 38: the left-side graphic shows all drivers still running have improved their position. How many times has that happened?
