yes, sorry.. i ment Bertolini that was 20secs back, not Peter.
this is the second FIA GT race for me (and more to come) to follow it without the live video. (the other being China last year).. But we are in store for 3 more races like this (China, Dubai and Bahrian- no video) because they dont run with the WTCC

In fairness to Eurosport, so far this year they have given full live coverage to every FIA GT event, only this weekend did we miss what, the first half a hour of the race? The rest has been live. Im pretty happy with Eurosports commitment to FIA GT at the moment to be honest, and I beleive there will be something like 8-10 hours of live coverage of the Spa 24hrs next month, so thats pretty good too IMO.

well, Lamy/Gardel win it. its their second win of the season. and the GPC ferrari makes it on the podium finally!
Well done to Lister, they also finally finished! (in 7th!) well done! |

Indeed, good race. Nice to see the Ferrari 575 finally doing what its really capable of, finishing on the podium. And who said FIA GT this year was going to be a Maserati white wash?

yea, only one win so far for the Maserati. Michael Bartels in particular, must be killing himself right now.. after spending over 3 million euros for the cars alone, they still have yet to get a race win, with half the season overwith.

GPC could've been 2nd if it weren't for Buncombe not moving over for like 3 laps when the 575 came around to lap him at the end of the race! Good to see it's getting a bit more competitive though.

It seems (from the Eurosport.com report) that Kumpen went into the first corner a bit too enthousiast in the first lap, spinning over the kerbstone and taking out Morbidelli, Babini and Piccini. So they all started, but had to park their car in the first corner, Kumpen was the only one able to resume his race. Would like to see videofootage, to see how it happened, as usually a spin isn't reason enough to give up in these races.
