I'd hate to see this race decided in the steward's booth ... even though I am a Mazda sort-of fan.

Everybody is a Mazda fan, even if they don't know it yet.

Crazy pass for the lead. 77 looks equally as aggressive.

If they haven't called anything on Montoya, they cannot call that. What ... a... move.

That's more like it. Hard driving from all involved.
I don't see Jarvis getting past Montoya on track though. |

Seing as the Mazdas are clearly faster, why are they having such a hard time passing the Acura?
Is Watkins Glen difficult to overtake on? |

Rear deck and wing of the 55 is moving around a LOT.
Edit: The right hand side wing upright is broken. |

I'd assume that the Mazda is a little faster everywhere around the class, and a little slower exiting corners .... but at no point is it fast enough In One Place to have an advantage, and since it has to catch up after every corner, the driver can't set up soon enough to make a move by the next corner.

Tincknell pits first. Mazda should have the fuel advantage, if their crew can make the shorter stop work.

I think the rear wing of 55 is broken (right hand side)

I am surprised the IMSA official let the 55 back on track. The wing endplate is clearly broken and the whole rear deck is moving around.

I agree with Hindhaugh ... should have pitted Jarvis in the #77 first.

Why did they pit the 77 with the Penske given they're faster? Should've stayed out when the Acura was pitting.

Pulled a big piece of something out of the back of the 55 on that stop

That's an error from Joest - Jarvis should have stayed out.

That was a huge foul-up //// Mazda decided to pit before the Acura made its move I guess.

Did my eyes just deceive me, or did Mazda beat somebody on the pit lane?

So, if you're Jarvis do you settle for second? Or do you push, knowing the lead car has a broken end-plate?
