correct me if im wrong here, but if more and more componants of a car are made control, wont it just mean that the teams will have too look even harder to find an advantage, and spend more money, both in labour and in parts to do so? its an oxymoron, doing stuff like this to reduce costs will acually raise them.

Well it depends... I can just see race teams telling sponsors that they get a refund because the cars cost less

or perhaps they will just used the extra dollars to run more cars

or perhaps they will spend money on drivers, and headhunting from other teams

or maybe more grid girls...
