Details here, Suze: http://www.ff1600.co.uk/index.php?id=1115
Nice to meet you, albeit briefly at Cadwell yesterday. Alan, I read elsewhere that all FF1600 drivers thought that the qualification race was 'a complete waste of time'. I did wonder if you would share that view! |

Thanks for that Ian.
Yep, was a bit brief, I didn't have any free time all weekend anyway, started early finished late so that was the only chance I had to catch you! Check your PMs by the way... |

I was certainly worried that I might lose the opportunity of competing in the main race, either due to exuberance or mechanical failure and therefore not score any points.
But as a Clubbie, I do it as I love to race the car in a competitive environment and the more races I can get for my meagre budget the better. Certainly most of the other fellow competitors I have spoken with who also found themselves battling in the Quali race, loved the opportunity of extra competive track time and relished showing the spectators that they were not just running around at the back of a race. I do agree that when there are not enough drivers to warrant reserves, it does seem somewhat silly that a further competition is needed. But again, it was great fun and can only help the race craft of the less experienced driver. |

Alan,
As I said on the day, fantastic performance in the Quali race, and those new tyres certainly did the trick in the main race. Was that your best points finish so far? Haven't sorted all the photos yet but got some goodies of you in the thick of it through Old Paddock. cheers Kilvy |

Kilvy,
Alan was rushed back into hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning and is undergoing surgery tomorrow. I'm sure seeing your photos will help cheer him up during what looks like being long road ahead to recovery. Julie |

Please let Alan know that a lot of people in the FF1600 world are thinking of him and wishing him the best of luck for a speedy recovery. He's a gentleman and a great racer (never more so than on Monday), and deserves to be back in full health as soon as possible.

Absolutely - get well soon Alan!!
Qual Race: I can't believe people moaned, I thought it was fantastic and a brilliant idea. What would be even cooler tho would be if they split everyone into two heats, then had a final race. You could also make some kind of point system for the heats too (but less points obviously) |

Still as Ed pointed out the boss is back after he won the last race and Matt Rivett only got close because he let him...cocky but true! The question is Justin can you topple the master? In fact can anyone, on the right day Ed seems to have the measure of all those who enter come on somebody enter and knock Ed off off the top of the pile |

Providing the team can have both cars there then again i'm sure that would not be a problem for the likes of the dempsey clan |

He's quick no matter what the conditions......Don't forget this year he won't have done much, if anything, in the Swift. He races in Duratec now.
Good luck anyway Peter. |

Believe the BRSCC has pulled the Club F3's from the meeting at combe on the 29th May. That leaves a lot of time on the timetable as it was a double header for the F3's, do the FF1600 now get double-header?? Better show for the crowd anyway. Not looking good for the future of the F3 either!!
