Chilton absolutely mugged Cammish.
I like Cammish but he does seem to spend a lot of time being off the ball. |

That Sutton and Neal incident looked like such a light touch, and both are now out. Unlucky.

That was an incredible last lap, excellent stuff between Jordan and Butcher.

Nice to have a fight where the drivers weren't trying to run into each other. Great stuff from AJ and Butcher.

A shame that the contact put Sutton out but it was an over-optimistic move.
They really need to beef the suspension up though. They might as well still be racing S2000 pieces of crap, as fragile as the suspension is now. Even F1 cars can withstand larger impacts than what we've seen today. |

Problem is the energy has to go somewhere. Those parts might be fragile but they're easier and cheaper to replace than a whole subframe.

Energy does need to go somewhere, but you wouldn't field a GT3 or GT4 car with that level of fragility, so I do think a series where contact is more common and more accepted should probably have a little more sturdy suspension.

Well at least that saves us from another BMW 1-2... Proctor for the podium?
Maybe it's time to think about changing that corner as we've seen that exact accident so many times... |

That's how F1 ended up at Paul Ricard. Let's not butcher (ha) good tracks because of driving errors.

Oh I would be fuming if I were in Colin's shoes. Nevermind if it saved us from BMWs 1-2, Turkington should be up there. Poor move by Butcher, hopefully he'll lose the podium.

Yeah, I agree with that. But it's happened so many times at Scotsman, either you have to throw it down the inside and risk a collision or not overtake and Knockhill loses one of it's few overtaking points. Certainly the character of the turn shouldn't be touched but I think racing would be improved if the straight was extended just a tiny bit.

The Turks/ Butcher collision is Colins fault in my books through awareness or stupidity. Rory was trying to do well in a race. Colin was (still is) trying to win a championship. Alain Prost (the most intelligent racing driver I've ever watched) in that situation would have conceded the place to fight back later. |

Seriously late SC call in the F4 race just now, that could've been messy.

I think you could for sure say Turk could've avoided it, but it's still Butchers fault IMO. Once again, it's funny hearing Tim Harvey have such a solid opinion on it. "That's not on". Compared with "This was bound to happen" when his mates are involved.
Formula Ford - bound to be some penalties. Far too fast under SC. Cars overtaking, locking wheels, right in front of marshals. Absolutely unacceptable. |
