I think it will be JAF GT300, since now the choice are pretty much JAF-GT300 or lose (well all pro driver and crew can do).

interesting point from APR on GR86, pretty much pointing out they are pretty much all on about aero

Really a shame that the Mother Chassis is dead. Now, JAF should improve their JAF-GT300 regulations to make it cheap and competitive.

Auto Sport magazine vol. 1569 was released digitally today.

Quote:
BMW Team Studie's driver lineup will consist of Seiji Ara, Augusto Farfus, and third driver Tsubasa Kondo. Farfus' participation is, of course, depending on his ability to enter Japan.

There is a forecast of most of the GT300 grid as well.

Quote:
Seita Nonaka, reigning FIA F4 Japanese champion, would go to Hoppy Team Tsuchiya.

Kimiya Sato would move from Tsuchiya to Max Racing, taking the place of Yuui Tsutsumi, who would drive muta Racing INGING's new Toyota GR86 GT300.

Ryohei Sakaguchi would move to Arnage Racing, who would switch to a Toyota 86 Mother Chassis.

Busou are expected to collaborate with Drago Corse, switch to the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, and have Masataka Yanagida and Yuji Ide as their drivers.

I discussed it with Jens, who thought Arnage Racing going to the MC86 may have been a mistake on auto sport's part - and sure enough, Arnage Racing are going to test their Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Suzuka...

Wow, never though Drago Corse will switch the brand. I still on expectation BMax will be with them running Honda.

R'Qs Motor Sports are back for 2022, keeping the lineup of Hisashi Wada and Masaki Jyonai. Arnage Racing will continue to provide technical support.

https://www.facebook.com/rqsmotorspo...09591192711957

The #22 Mercedes in the post was also the same #50 Arnage car that rolled into Suzuka, testing with both number plates.

Ryosei Yamashita was testing for Arnage, as was Seiya Motojima (younger brother of Yuya), who raced in FIA F4 last year.

This is inline with demands from sponsors to change the car. GR86 & Bridgestone should be a great combinations.

If Nissan expands its GT500 squad into 5 cars, I'm sure Fujinami will get the GT500 seat.

For the stuff that wasn't in the latest magazine eBook:

- Due to the difficulty of recruiting staff members and likely a loss of sponsorship, arto Team Thailand is set to withdraw for at least a year.

- Busou Drago Corse is happening, they're going to the Nissan GT-R with Masataka Yanagida/Yuji Ide as drivers, Ryo Michigami as manager, and potentially tyres from Dunlop.

- Arnage Racing are going ahead with the switch to the Toyota MC86, specifically the chassis that was used by muta Racing INGING in 2020.

- No changes in driver lineups at GreenBrave, LM Corsa, apr #31, both JLOC cars, and Team LeMans w/Motoyama Racing.

- Team Mach is likely to retain the Hiraki brothers Yuya and Reiji, but there are other candidates including Super Taikyu/Virtual Le Mans Series driver Yusuke Tomibayashi.

- Pacific Racing are likely to continue their partnership with CarGuy and run a newer version of the Ferrari 488 GT3, keeping the lineup of Takeshi Kimura/Kei Cozzolino.

- NILZZ Racing will keep Taiyou Ida (whose changed his registered surname from "Iida") and bring in a second driver TBN.

Really sad that Team Thailand will leave the series, as well as the Lotus MC. By the way, I've noticed that Cars Tokai Dream28 got rebranded to Muta Racing.

With Busou Drago Corse happening, that means Ren Sato won't be in Super GT.

Now, speaking of livery reveals, Nakajima Racing have revealed the same one.

That rebrand took effect last season with INGING buying into the program.

I see. Still, let's hope that Muta Racing will be competitive this year with their JAF-GT300 spec GT86.

Reigning F4 Japanese champion Seita Nonaka has joined Hoppy Team Tsuchiya as expected, with Kimiya Sato moving over to Max Racing.

https://www.dailysportscar.com/2022/...ax-racing.html

Going to take a guess and say that we won't know what the 2022 Hoppy livery will look like until Tsuchiya Engineering reveals the specs of their homemade Supra. I'm really curious to see what sort of aero differences there are versus the apr/Saitama Toyopet spec version.
