If I was Kayne Scott I would have dne 1 lap for a time in quali and parked it, then kept three sets of spankers for the races. 28 or 29 who cares. I really don't think Kayne is that bad so something smells and I am not sure what it is. Last edited by sizzle; 5 Jul 2008 at 12:01. |

Has there ever been a more ridiculous and obvious safety car?
Seriously: 5 laps from the end, and justified by a piece of material on the circuit... If that's not a "made for TV" safety car, I don't know what is. Last edited by SamDale; 6 Jul 2008 at 04:39. |

It seems that Tander had a Flag to Flag victory in race 2.
There must have been more rubbish on the track than what C7 said. If the Race Director pulled a SC for a cleaning rag he needs to be spanked. Even if he does enjoy it. So a bit of rag gets scooped up and stuck in your spoiler.....it was only going to be there for a few laps.. |

The way the article reads, there was no forewarning, no private discussions... yay for communication failures (I thought that stuff died when the Kelvinmonster went to the FIA to show them how its done ) A penalty given to Mr Morris from the very same Mr Mezera was never likely to go down well after that singling out... so it seems, according to the above, to be being appealed. Why dont the other penalties dished out post race get appealed the same way? |

Matters arising from Race 3:
The Stewards imposed Pit Lane Penalties as follows: • Car #3 Jason Richards for a driving infringement on Car #2 Mark Skaife at Pit Entry. • Car #12 Andrew Jones for a driving infringement on Car #55 Tony D’Alberto at Turn 6. Following an investigation and an admission by Garth Tander that he had driven in a careless manner, contact on Jamie Whincup, Car #88, the Stewards deducted 12 Championship Points from Garth Tander. enough said |

12 points!!! is that ill it costs to potentially wreck a rivals championship?
Why not a time penalty to represent a drive thru placing him down the field? |

interesting penalty that for Tander, I do think a penalty was warranted, it was careless driving, leaning on another car to ensure he got around the corner, but not quite as severe as warranting a drive through. end result probably a good call, one i haven't seen for a while (ie penalty equalling half a drive through)
getting a bit sick of driver 1 having a go at driver 2 when driver 2 has no chance of recourse, and driver 1 is incorrect in his statement but the uninformed viewing public then take driver 1's comments as gospel. ie McConky's statement about Jnr in R1. McConk said Jnr straightlined the right left turns 3 & 4 and speared him off, and should have been looking in his mirrors a bit more. mirrors equal behind Cameron, ie behind the B pillar, and if you look at the replay Cameron you will see you are off line at turn 3, well before the alleged straight line into turn 4, and where the camera is in the kerb at turn 4 you are almost into the fence. i am not sure how you can straight line between 2 right hand kinks at turns 2 & 3??? |

Stop the hissy fit. Winterbottom has a 70 point lead? That's 70 less over 1300 championship points. Under this silly points system the 12 points penalty would not even be worth 1 point last year. Lets have some perspective please. |
