It will probably be only the Woodcote/Start Line grandstands that are open, plus the Abbey/Bridge seating. You can walk round pretty much the entire perimeter of the GP track if you want.

Thanks Bob. Paddock entry means a lot to me and in this case it means a ticket sold. Still looking for someone to share my Sunday ticket with

Yep it is normally pretty open. It's a pain that some of the grandstands are shut but that's life.
Make sure you visit the hangar straight. These cars are bloody quick!

Looks funky - yeah I'll definitely have to position myself on the straight a couple of times to hear the full roar.

Just do a lap of the whole circuit, to get every aspect...
One of the joys of a longer race!

Are they using the chicane at Abbey, btw?
Either way, the uncovered seating there is a nice break once you've got the Complex covered...

Here's hoping for decent weather.

I don't know if i speak alone here, but i'd rather see Enge or Janis in the car. I'm gonna miss good ol Jarek
Brighter note, it's going to be AWESOME!
best grid for years?

I think we have at least 3 extra cars on the grid.
2 in GT1
2nd MC12 JMB Racing and the SRT Corvette.
and a new 997 Porsche in GT2 of Prospeed.

Janis is at Valencia for the LMS and, since Enge was supposed to be free that weekend, probably wasn't planning on doing the bizjet commute as part of his agreement to be Enge's replacement at Ecosse.

Should be interesting to see how Janis' newfound association with P/WL in the ALMS pans out with these other two commitments and the high level of linkage with Enge's plans.

And let us hope at least one decent Saleen might materialise quickly!??!!

There was the rumour in the rumours thread about the Zakspeed car being readied and can't Ratel tempt Oreca to enter their's for the bigger events like Silverstone, Spa and the French round?

Zakspeed sold their car, it's for sale by the new owner. So I don't think we'll see that car in action.

Maybe Zakspeed sold it because of their financial problems and the buyer could get it for a bargain? Who knows, I know as much as you about this.

What's the chance of the Rock Media Zonda showing up? That would be an interesting car to see but I've not seen mention of it anywhere for a while.

Interesting in the sense that it's a moving chicane, but a pretty one. Doubt it will show. I mean, all they did was show to the test days last year, and I'm not even sure the FIA rollcage certification problems are fixed.

It was also at Monza earlier this year for the pre-season test and whilst it makes a good noise was as is expected of an underdeveloped car well short of the pace.

Couldn't it be entered in Citation Cup or something though?

Sorry Tim but the weather on long range looks wet for the weekend! Typical British bank holiday weather I'm afraid. I'm marshalling there and would normally camp but I've taken the precaution of booking a hotel room for the Saturday night! Just hope I'm and my forecast site are wrong!
