Certainly doesn’t look like it’s going to be as hot as it was at Brands

From the pictures I've seen of the paddock, it's already pretty wet. Forecast for the weekend is more of the same.

2 RWD cars in the top ten.
FWD car on pole. 5 Hondas, 4 FK8s in the top ten. I guess the debate on Oulton being a RWD-friendly circuit can resume now? |

I don't think the black flag was for track limits as Sutton only had 2 laps deleted and Proctor had 4.

Butcher on pole, let’s hope he has better luck than at Brands. Good lap from Cook, it’s about time BTC got a result. And good to see Jake Hill up there
Bad session for Tingram, can he salvage anything out of this weekend? Sutton getting the black flag, don’t remember that happening in a quali session before. Mind you, he really went over track limits when he ended using the full circuit at one point! |

If so, was Sutton far more naughty than Proctor with his track limits, or do the stewards have favourites?

Butcher on pole while Neate at the back in same car... |

I think that's because he is having to push the car to it's limit to get it near the front. I felt that at Donny. The car didn't look good. At Brands he was nowhere until the last race when he benefited from those in front of him falling off. I think the Infinity is not as good as is being made out.

I think it’s about time people appreciated what a real talent Ash is. The fact that Moffat who has half a year experience with the Infinity is not exactly setting the world on fire shows that the car still has a lot of work to do, yet Ash’s approach of wringing the car’s neck means he is now second in the championship. You can’t do that unless you have that much skill which he no doubt has |

and what does that say about Turkington getting great results with a (very) heavy car but he seems so smooth with it

Maybe because the car is much better to drive and it’s not unusual for teams to set up their cars around ballest? That said Colin is a great driver and his approach seems to work too. It’s no different from Senna and Prost. Both achieved results despite having different styles because they were both great drivers

If, as was suggested up thread, Sutton went wide and made his way round the full circuit then the black flag would be for that. If you leave the circuit anywhere you're supposed to rejoin somewhere local to where you departed.
At that point the number of track limit violations are irrelevant. Speaking of which - the corners nominated for track limits either have a sensor, or a permanent BARC observer, or both. Trust me: there's no favouritism or special focus on anyone. |
