To assist with your subsidy claims for overalls and Hi-Vis Jackets, Sue Whitlock has created a downloadable claim form.
This can be accessed from the Regalia section of the BMMC website or click this link http://www.marshals.co.uk/national/b...bmaster/10.htm |

Eric/Stephen,
I have just been speaking with Nick Wray at AWS as I'm getting a new set of probans. Would it be feasible to provide AWS with a quantity of our cloth Grading Badges so that these can be sewn in professionally at the point of sale? It could also give some uniformity to the Probans! Kind regards |

In the past we have refrained from doing this for two reasons:
Cost Time taken by AWS to do the work. We should remember that AWS supply the overalls to the BMMC at cost and so asking for extra sewing to be done 'might' have an implication on that. I will speak to Nick to get his views on this. How would members react if there was a small charge for sewing grading badges on if it were a seperate arrangement between them selves and AWS? |

Sorry I meant to add that! I for one would most definitely be prepared to pay someone who can sew without knotting/breaking the cotton and stabbing needle in thumb!!

I know exactly what you mean Mark!
Leave it with me and I will try to speak to Nick during the course of next week and come back with some thoughts. I do agree though that having grading badges sewn on in a uniform or regular place would look more professional. |

I'd be interested in having the grading badge professionally stitched too. Think it's time for a new pair. I must have grown taller as they don't fit as well as the used to

Arrived this morning and have to say they look great. Really pleased with them and the extra embroidery they did for me.

shocked!!!
myself and two other marshals tried to order some new probans from the AWS stand at the Autosport Show..
well the member of staff we spoke to treated us like something you might step in, told us very curtly they don't do Marshals overalls well we were stunned at this and left the stand, passing a sign next to there till, saying "order your BMMC overalls here" are there any other suppliers that can we order probans from, with the same quality as AWS ones?? |

Please speak to Nick at AWS directly and let him know of your experience, he will be devastated to read this post!

yes we were absolutely shocked by the experience ourselves, all of us have had nothing but excellent service from AWS in the past we really just couldn't believe it happened. Last edited by Sparky-steve; 29 Jan 2012 at 13:08. |

This thread is a little confusing now as it's been going on for so long. Any chance of starting afresh so as to avoid confusion and the need to read the whole lot to understand the current state of affairs?

Basically, you order your overalls directly with AWS letting them know you are a BMMC member. Once you have your receipt from AWS send it to Sue Whitlock who will issue a cheque for the sponsorship amount and post it to you.

Sue can even pay the subsidy amount straight into your bank account. Worked for me!
