Yes I think Alpine's problem is going to be that Milesi is the only one who can max out the car's potential in the race. The other 2 drivers will give up laptime compared to how fast the car actually is. Their best chance is to give Milesi the most drive time, like they did in COTA.

They already had incidents during the first lap. Best they can do is let Milesi do the start. Since CoTA it seems they dont put their eggs in the same basket which is a good thing imo. Surely Milesi is slightly faster, more consistent and very good at bringing feed back, but he's not alone in the team.

Continuing the can the Caddy keep a good pace for a stint. It's looking OK.

The averages are good and it did a decent stint in FP2. This chart shows all the running (in order) so far. blue lines are end of sessions, grey lines are when they pitted.

You can see some of the difference in approaches through practice.

A lot of teams went for a qualifying run at the beginning of FP2. Alpine #35 went for this at the beginning of FP3. Some did both.

Some went for a long stint, like the BMW and Cadillac shown here. I don’t know if they did, but it looks like Toyota might have done pit stops and changed, but kept the same tyres on in FP2,

Overtaking a Toyota in the straight will be a challenge though.

The last race Caddy struggled on the start and lost a few places (and got hit) but if they can have warm tires and ready to go on the start they may be able to hold on.

I doubt it. The penalties, the yellows, the ridiculous BoP, the facial expression of Buemi, the awful colour schemes, the rich amateur drivers, the driver standards, F1, hourly recaps mean it will be dreadful.

Bring it on.
