justracing should be qualifying in the top 10 on the gridjustracing should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone on here know how to access a competitors list broken down into categories viz. works entries and privateers? I am particularly interested in the privateer(malle moto) class in the bike field who undertake the Dakar totally unassisted. Although I follow the main protagonists every year courtesy of Eurosport tv, trawling round the official Dakar site gives very little information other than an overall listing of competitors in each vehicle category beyond that it seems to be complete guesswork!

The lone American Brabec has been dropping in the standings.
He really needs to get a stage win(or 2) soon to have
any chance at a podium.

He was very lucky not to have suffered serious injuries. What surprised me is that it was pretty rookie error for someone so experienced.
5 Brits still in the race after stage 7 and Sunderland still leads.

Fantastic result for Sam Sunderland winning Dakar plus the other 3 Brits for finishing but my heart goes out to Kurt Burroughs suffering mechanical failure on stage 10.
His crew's report after stage 9 :
Day 10 update. After being separated from Kurt for 3 days due to weather and marathon stage he finally made it to the end of day 9. He was speaking a different language when he arrived and he kept pointing to his bum. We felt best to just put him to bed. We dressed him this morning as he just not capable of that anymore, filled his camelback with water and threw some granola bars in his pocket. He is off on day 10.
Kurt is not a big fella but he has the will of a lion.

So the organiser fixed the rules to favour one competitor! Well that's not right. The FIA should strip this event of any official status.
