Damon Milnes should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just the chassis plate and written assurances from the seller. Kevin reckons it may not have a chassis tag from when he built replacement chassis pre-Opert. I will check this when I am re-united with the car.

It should have a SCCA number stamped on the rollhoop. That will tell us a lot about its past.

Allen: I'm hoping you can help with a question. I am helping a friend restore an old Titian FF and we've sand blasted it to bare frame and I'm amazed at the quality of the brazing. Dozens of welds in classic ''stack of dimes'' quality. Was this all done free hand or did they have a brazing machine to assist in such quality.

Thanks, Rick

Sounds like the work of the late Roy Thomes ( Tom the Weld ) all done freehand.

Is there a record of SCCA chassis numbers apart from the logbooks that were retained by car owners?

Hello Steve,
I just found today your article from 2008 regarding the Chevron B17 of Paul Mawson. Because I am retired I have now the time to dig into my past...
In 1979 I bought the B17/35 from Paul Mawson/Paul Williams and raced it in the Belgian Hill Climb Championship in 1980. Long time ago !
I have a few photo's of the car and one of them is published on the site of Old racing cars/Chevron.

If possible I would like to contact Paul Mawson but I have no information at all about him.
