Sorry!
Was it then that one of them raced an Indy 500 car in a GP? |

Ward was sporting about the whole thing and his suggestion that Jack Brabham try Indy in a Cooper started the rear engined revolution at the Brickyard. |

Alesi let his heart make his decisions, so it wasn't all bad luck. And as much as I admire Johnny Herbert, and realise he had alot of bad luck, I think that after his accident he just wasn't WDC material.
Of the current crop, JPM is the unluckiest I think, apart from Fisi perhaps. |

Alesi is classed as a ONE-HIT Wonder, and will be in F1 terms forever!
I think the race he won was a bit lucky anyway! |

Depends on what you go by. Fisichella was the deserving winner of that race, he led a full lap before the red was thrown. Hopefully this will be resolved correctly, to add Giancarlo and remove Kimi (for now).

Well Kimi is still a one-hit wonder (unless McLaren appeal) and we have a new one-hit wonder!
Giancarlo Fisichella Will he stay a one hit wonder? |

McLaren don't have to appeal because Kimi will win at Imola |

I suppose one day we will see the safety car winning a race. It will be a one-hit wonder!

Ginther should have won more, but he was usually in the second banana role (BRM and Ferrari). In those days, there seemed to be more of a difference in equipment and/or preparation between the #1 and #2 drivers.

Just to update this, we can now remove JPM from the list.

I wondered if someone would bring this up. I also wondered if there would be a two hits wonderes thread!
I'm glad he can be removed now. It's all very well having these new guys, Montoya, Kimi and Alonso, but we need themselves to get established. In a lot of ways they are, but some more wins would go a long way to finishing the job. |

I fear for Fisichella on this list. To me, he has one-hit wonder written all over him.
Bit unfair really. |

I think it happened twice in 97 and 98! Who was driving it? Alex Yoong? |

The unluckiest driver has to be Chris Amon, surely?...

The safety car led the way to the finish in 1998, but did it also do it in 1997? I think it was in operation when the red flag came out. |
