I've known Nicky since his karting days, infact Roy's garage used to service my car.
Jack's done formula Jedi and some cliocup races, my point being that the team he's with is spreading themselves very thin with all there plans to race in other series. I hope this doesn't hinder his racing in 2005 |

Aha, does that make you the guy racing Nocky's Mygale this year?
i can't comment on the team running Jack, I don't know them at all, but I can see your point. |

Slight slip of the finger there, that will teach me to read it in future. I presume you guessed that I meant Nicky Wilcox.

The guy running Nicky's old Mygale is Andy Skriczka from Aldershot, running the car himself. He ran in a Fiesta last year. I am looking forward to see is actually testing this Friday, so I can put faces to names of the new guys. Cheers Chris |

Certainly not Andersons first season in single seaters. He probably spent the biggest budget of all the runners in Jedi class B last year- refer to Jedi website

well done Nicky on the first win of the season, the cars seem evenly matched between the 2 classes. Equally well done to Ian Pearson on taking win for the older class..
Seems u needn't be worried about Jack Anderson with him not being there.... |

The rumour on friday was that Jack Anderson had damaged his car testing on thursday & was not able to make silverstone, the same goes for Pierre Renom.
I am glad to say that the restricting of the new cars has been very succesfull, both classes are able to run together with only a small performance difference. It will be interesting to see what the difference will be when we get to donnington on sunday |

Well done on wining your class and I wonder how much closer to the front 3 you might have got if you wern't stuck behind Denis Autier. Looking forward to Donington Park next Sunday Cheers |

Well, Renault certainly know how to treat people. First three from each class on the GP Rostrum, Champagne, nice trophies, good prize money. Being made to feel wanted is very much the exception in motrsport thesedays, it's nice to see someone can reverse the trend. I'm sure there are guys out there with other early cars, who, like me viewed this years formula with some concern and maybe are sitting it out at home wondering ahich way to go. I can assure you that I am now confident I have made the right decision.

Thanks to everyone at Renaultsport too, excellent organisation and, for once, we felt valued as entrants and drivers, and not just there to pay for the day out! Great job! Also, cheers to the stewards and marshalls; not too many incidents, I think but the whole day was well run and I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. |

I've just bought Dermot's Martini Renault. It seems OK but I'll have quite a job to qualify decently in six or seven laps at Silverstone this weekend. I've never turned a wheel in the thing and the last time I did the Silvestone GP circuit was in a Jaguar 220 as a passenger. We dropped it in the kitty litter at Copse. We were buried so deep in the gravel that we couldn't get the doors open. A much over-rated car.Cr*p in anything but a straight line.
I'm hoping for a nice day so I can get some feel for the Renault. |

Hi Steve, I think you meant this to be in the Mono thread. However, you would be made more than welcome if you did want to come and run with us in the BARC formula.
Good luck at the weekend, we did seriously think about raising our cars up to 40mm and doing the GP round, but it clashes with BARC Donnington and we are commotted to that now. |

Interesting Nicky Wilson will be competing with Falcon Motorsport in this wekends FRenault BARC Meeting at Donington Park.
So now we will have 4 quick drivers up front, which should mean so close racing. Also I expect that Ian Pearson should get some closer competition if some of the drivers get their setup right. Just hope the weather is with us. Cheers Chris |

That is good news about Nicky Wilson. The weather forecast looks OK. Maybe if Nino Piccoli finds some money he may be out with his 98/99 Tatuus and give Ian a bit of a wake up call. I have felt over the last few months that the man most likely to beat Ian is Cameron Jackson, but Silverstone certainly didn't show that. Cameron is testing for Donnington, but Ian along with almost all the other Club class runners is not. maybe that will change things this week-end.
